Piperazine is a derivative. Contains primary secondary and tertiary nitrogen atom. Gives severe reactions with aldehydes and acids. Reacts well with water, acetone, ethers, hexane and ethanol. Has the ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the air.
Areas of use:
-Used as an additive like epoxy resin.
-Corrosion inhibitor, as a surface activator or additive in asphalt.
-Used as chemicals in the oil and urethane production stages.

Aminoethylpiperazine is an ethylene amine with a unique molecular structure with one primary, one secondary and one tertiary amino group. AEP is a colorless transparent liquid with an ammonia odor. It is used as an intermediate in the production of epoxy hardeners, asphalt additives, corrosion inhibitors, emulsifiers, pharmaceuticals, surfactants, polyurethane catalysts.
