CHLOROHEXIDINE DIACETATE

Chlorohexidine diacetate is used as antiseptics and disinfectants.
Chlorohexidine diacetate has been used in research on gingivitis and plaque control.
Chlorohexidine diacetate can be used for prevention of microbial growth in chromatography resins such as cross-linked dextran at a concentration of 0.002%.

Chlorohexidine diacetate is an antiseptic mainly used in dental medicines like mouth rinses, sprays or toothpaste to prevent plaque and gingivitis.
Chlorohexidine diacetate is also used on plasters, in ointments or powders and as an effective preservative against bacteria and moulds in cosmetics.
Chlorohexidine diacetate is used primarily as a topical antiseptic/disinfectant in wound healing, at catheterization sites, in various dental applications and in surgical scrubs.
Chlorohexidine diacetate has been used to study the inactivation of HIV and the immobilization of sperm.
Chlorohexidine diacetate was used to study effective skin antisepsis and disinfection of medical devices as well as the effects of antimicrobials on dental plaque.

Chlorohexidine diacetate is the acetate salt of chlorhexidine.
Chlorohexidine diacetate is a disinfectant used for bacterial control in hospital, agricultural and domestic environments.
Chlorohexidine diacetate has a role as an antibacterial agent, an antiinfective agent, an antifungal agent and an antifouling biocide.
Chlorohexidine diacetate contains a chlorhexidine.
A disinfectant and topical anti-infective agent used also as mouthwash to prevent oral plaque.

Chlorohexidine diacetate is a biguanide disinfectant with rapid bactericidal activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organism.
The antibacterial effect of Chlorohexidine diacetate  is related to its action on the bacterial cell membrane and to precipitation of intracellular contents.
Chlorohexidine diacetate is a bis(biguanide) compound with broad spectrum antimicrobial properties that make it effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
In solution, positively charged Chlorohexidine diacetate binds to cell wall phospholipids, causing bacterial cell walls to rupture and ultimately leading to cell death.
Depending on concentration, the compound may exert either a bacteriostatic or bactericidal effect.

Applications of Chlorohexidine diacetate:

Chlorohexidine diacetate is used regularly both as a topical antiseptic and as an antimicrobial component of mouthwash.
Can be used to clean wounds, prevent dental plaque and treat yeast infections of the mouth.
Used in more rigorous medical applications, both as an antimicrobial agent for preventing infection after catheterization and for disinfecting medical and surgical devices.
Shown to be effective in inactivating human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Preparation of a 0.5% Chlorohexidine diacetate solution for cleansing cow teats after milking.

Chlorohexidine diacetate salt is an antiseptic antibacterial agent commonly used as a disinfectant in eye drops, deodorants, creams, and others.
Chlorohexidine diacetate is also used as an active ingredient in mouthwash to prevent and control dental plaque.
Chlorohexidine diacetate may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in eye drop formulations using capillary electrophoresis technique with contactless conductivity detection.

Chlorohexidine diacetate is a disinfectant and antiseptic used to disinfect skin prior to surgery and to sterilize instruments used prior to surgery.
Also found in personal care products for its antiseptic properties.
Chlorohexidine diacetate salt is a diacetate derivative of a cationic polybisbiguanide that has bactericidal, anti-fungal and anti-viral activity.
Chlorohexidine diacetate has also been used for in vivo pharmacokinetic research to investigate drug release rates.

Chlorohexidine diacetate, when placed into physiological pH, dissociates into its cationic form and binds to the negatively charged bacterial wall.
This binding will cause cytosolic leakage at low concentrations and lytic effects at high chlorohexidine concentrations.
However, Chlorohexidine diacetate activity can be halted upon interaction with anionic compounds.

Chlorohexidine diacetate is the acetate salt of Chlorhexidine, a cartionic surfactant and antimicrobial agent used as a disinfenctant in eye drops, deodorants, and creams.
Chlorohexidine diacetate is a cationic polybiguanide used as its salts, like the digluconate and diacetate in disinfectants and cosmetics.
Ungraded products are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
