Diethylhexyl carbonate is a colorless, clear liquid with a characteristic odor. It is a lighter oil which is less viscous. It has a good spreadability as well as it has a good solubility profile for crystalline substances. It has good moisturizing capacity along with light feel. Thus, it is especially used in products used to impart moisture as well as oil-free feeling. It is used in skin care, facial care, body care, facial cleansing, and sun care products.
