GENAPOL X 1000

Genapol® X 1000 is a nonionic emulsifier for the chemical industry.
This white wax is composed of isotridecyl polyethylene glycol ether with 100 mole ethylene oxide. Genapol® X 1000 can be used as an emulsifier for bitumen emulsions and emulsion polymerization.

Appearance: white wax
pH value (DIN EN 1262), 1% in water: 6-8

Solubility at 20 °C: clear soluble in water
Flash point (DIN/ISO 2592): > 100 °C
Viscosity at 70 °C (DIN/ISO 6388): about 400 mPas

Melting point: about 60 °C
Critical Micelle Concentration: 4,5 g/L in water
Surface Activity at 1 g/L: about 45 mN/m
HLB value: about 19

Use:
Genapol X 1000 can be used as emulsifier for bitumen emulsions and emulsion polymerization.

First aid measures of Genapol X 1000:
General information: 
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately 

After inhalation: 
When inhaled remove to fresh air and seek medical aid. 

After contact with skin: 
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water 

After contact with eyes: 
In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with water 

After ingestion: 
Summon a doctor immediately.

Fire-fighting measures of Genapol X 1000:
Suitable extinguishing media:
-water spray jet 
-foam 
-carbon dioxide 
-dry powder 

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: 
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO) 

Special protective equipment for firefighting:
Use self-contained breathing apparatus

Accidental release measures of Genapol X 1000:
Personal precautions:
Use personal protective clothing. 

Environmental precautions: 
Do not allow to enter drains or waterways 

Methods for cleaning up/taking up: 
Pick up with absorbent material (eg sand, sawdust). 
Rinse away rest with water.

Handling and storage of Genapol X 1000:
Advice on safe handling: 
No special measures necessary if stored and handled as prescribed.
