GENAPOL X 208

GENAPOL X 208 is a nonionic emulsifier for emulsion polymerization.

Uses of GENAPOL X 208:
GENAPOL X 208 is used in emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, acrylate and styrene / acrylate dispersions to reduce coagulation and to improve electrolyte resistance and freeze/thaw stability.
GENAPOL X 208 is used either during or after polymerization.

Stability of GENAPOL X 208:
The GENAPOL X-grades are insensitive to water hardness constituents and largely resistant to the usual chemicals in normal application concentrations.
Like all polyglycol ether derivatives, the GENAPOL X grades have limited stability to oxidizing agents which evolve chlorine so that their use is restricted to application in dilute solutions.
The preparation of highly concentrated mixtures of oxidizing or reducing agents and polyglycol ether derivatives is not possible.

Storage of GENAPOL X 208:
GENAPOL X 208 can be stored at least to 2 years in original sealed containers at room temperature under the recommended conditions.
Protect from exposure to cold during transport and storage.

The properties of GENAPOL X 208 are reversibly altered by exposure to cold.
If GENAPOL X 208 becomes turbid, thickens or freezes through exposure to cold, thaw slowly at room temperature and afterwards stir briefly.

Handling and Storage of GENAPOL X 208:
Below 20°C GENAPOL X 208 starts crystallisation, after heating up at 30°C GENAPOL X 208 turns into a clear liquid again.
