ADIMOLL DO

Bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate

CAS Number: 103-23-1

EC number: 203-090-1

Adimoll DO is a non-phthalate plasticizer with high lightfastness and low-temperature flexibility.

Adimoll DO is di-2-ethylhexyl adipate.
Adimoll DO acts as a plasticizer.
Adimoll DO exhibits low viscosity, which, in combination with its weak ability to solvate PVC, has a positive effect on the initial viscosity and storage stability of plastisols.

Adimoll DO imparts good low-temperature resistance to suitably plasticized compounds, good light stability to PVC compounds.
Adimoll DO is compatible with polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, rubbers, nitro- and ethyl cellulose, and polyvinyl acetate.

Product Applications of Adimoll DO:
Manufacturing of plastics
Plasticizers for polymeres
Polymer auxiliaries
PVC

Description of Adimoll DO:
Adimoll DO is a low-temperature-resistant plasticizer suitable for a large number of polymers, inclusive polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethanes (PUR), rubbers, nitro- and ethyl cellulose, and polyvinyl acetate (PVAc).

Chemical Composition:
Di-2-ethylhexyl adipate (DEHA, DOA)

CAS Registry Number:
103-23-1

Appearance:
Clear liquid

Solubility:
Soluble in all common solvents; the solubility in cold water is low.

Typical Properties of Adimoll DO:

Applications of Adimoll DO:
1. Adimoll DO is a very good low-temperature resistance to suitably plasticized compounds; this effect is clearly noticeable even when Adimoll DO is used in combination with other plasticizers.
2. Adimoll DO is a very good light stability to PVC compounds.

It is particularly beneficial to use Adimoll DO when very good low-temperature resistance and light stability are required, together with high elasticity.
Adimoll DO is used for a wide range of articles based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), chloroprene rubber (CR), ethylene-vinyl acetate rubber (EVM), polyurethanes (PUR), and ethylene-propylene copolymers (EPM).

Adimoll DO is also compatible with polyvinyl butyral (PVB), nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose, polystyrene and natural rubber.
Adimoll DO has a limited compatibility with cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose propionate and polymethylmethacrylate.

Adimoll DO is used when regulations and recommendations governing food contacting applications need to be met.
