AEROSIL® R 972 is are widely used in silicone rubber and silicone sealants, paints and coatings, printing inks and toner, adhesives, cable compounds and gels, plant protection and cosmetics.

Respiratory protection:
A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA 1910.134 and ANSI Z88.2 or applicable federal/provincial requirements should be followed when workplace conditions warrant the use of respirators.
NIOSH's "Respirator Decision Logic" can be useful in determining the suitability of various respirators.
Hand protection:
Use impermeable gloves.
Eye protection:
Wear safety glasses with side shields.
In case of dust formation, wear tight-fitting safety glasses.
Skin and body protection:
Safety shower and eye wash fountain should be available.

Hygiene measures:
Do not eat, drink or smoke while using. Wash face and/or hands before taking breaks and after work.
To ensure optimal skin protection: use super oily soaps and skin cream for skin care.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Protective measures:
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.
If there is a possibility of skin/eye contact, the specified hand/eye/body protection should be used.
If the workplace threshold limit value is exceeded and/or the substance is released, wear suitable respiratory protection.
