Description
ARADUR® 42 is a modified aliphatic polyamine curing agent developed for curing liquid epoxy resin systems. It is widely used in high-performance epoxy coatings, adhesives, flooring systems, electrical encapsulation compounds, composites, and civil engineering applications. The curing agent provides rapid room-temperature curing while producing epoxy systems with excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, adhesion, and durability. Properties
ARADUR® 42 is supplied as a clear to slightly yellow liquid with moderate viscosity. It reacts readily with epoxy resins at room temperature and develops excellent adhesion to concrete, metals, wood, and composite substrates. The cured systems exhibit high compressive strength, chemical resistance, and excellent moisture resistance. It is widely compatible with standard bisphenol-A epoxy resins and many specialty epoxy formulations.
Typical characteristics include a low-to-medium viscosity, high reactivity, excellent mechanical performance, good chemical resistance, and strong adhesion. The cured polymer demonstrates excellent resistance to water, dilute acids, alkalis, fuels, oils, and many industrial chemicals.
