Commercial / Trade Name
ARADUR 46-1 (Huntsman) – official commercial product name.
Unlike pure chemicals, ARADUR 46-1 is a proprietary formulated epoxy curing agent, so there is no unique CAS number or IUPAC chemical name that can be used as an exact synonym.
Technical databases typically identify ARADUR 46-1 by its chemical family (polyamine adduct) rather than a specific molecular name.

Aradur 46-1 does not have a single public CAS number because Aradur 46-1 is a formulated proprietary mixture.
Instead, the product is composed of various chemical components that are individually registered.
If you are referencing a Material Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for Aradur 46-1, the formulation commonly includes components with CAS numbers such as:
112-24-3 (Triethylenetetramine - TETA)
68953-36-6 (Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, polymers with triethylenetetramine)
100-51-6 (Benzyl alcohol - often used as a solvent or modifier)

ARADUR 46-1 is a polyamine adduct-based epoxy curing agent (hardener) developed by Huntsman for ambient-temperature curing epoxy systems.
Aradur 46-1 is primarily designed for civil engineering, industrial maintenance, and protective coating applications, where Aradur 46-1 provides a combination of rapid curing, excellent mechanical performance, and chemical resistance.
Aradur 46-1 is suitable for use in two-component epoxy formulations that require durable and long-lasting protection.

Aradur 46-1 offers low viscosity, allowing easy mixing with epoxy resins and improved application characteristics.
ARADUR 46-1 exhibits good wetting properties, excellent surface smoothness, and self-leveling behavior, making Aradur 46-1 particularly suitable for epoxy floor coatings and self-leveling flooring systems.
Aradur 46-1 also provides good color stability, helping coatings maintain their appearance over time.

Once cured, epoxy systems formulated with ARADUR 46-1 demonstrate high mechanical strength, excellent adhesion, and strong resistance to chemicals, water, abrasion, and corrosion.
These properties make ARADUR 46-1 an ideal curing agent for anti-corrosion coatings, epoxy mortars, industrial flooring, and protective topcoats used in demanding industrial environments.

ARADUR 46-1 is also nonylphenol-free and free from Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), supporting safer and more environmentally responsible epoxy formulations.
The product complies with the REACH regulation, making Aradur 46-1 suitable for use in many international industrial applications.

ARADUR 46-1 is adducts of IPDA, they are low viscose, low color, and UV resistant hardener when used with epoxy resin gives solvent free room temperature coating, floor toppings.
They have low odor, excellent transparency and light color.

ARADUR 46-1 is a high-performance polyamine adduct curing agent developed for epoxy resin systems that require rapid room-temperature curing, excellent chemical resistance, and outstanding mechanical performance.
ARADUR 46-1 is widely used in protective coatings, industrial flooring, civil engineering, and maintenance applications where durable epoxy systems are required.

The curing agent has a low-viscosity liquid form, making it easy to mix with liquid epoxy resins and suitable for solvent-free or low-VOC formulations.
Its excellent wetting properties improve substrate penetration and adhesion, while its self-leveling characteristics produce smooth, glossy coating surfaces with minimal application defects.
These features make ARADUR® 46-1 particularly suitable for self-leveling epoxy floor coatings and decorative industrial flooring systems.

When combined with epoxy resins, ARADUR 46-1 produces coatings with excellent adhesion to concrete and steel, high compressive and tensile strength, superior abrasion resistance, and long-term durability.
The cured systems also exhibit very good resistance to water, oils, fuels, dilute acids, alkalis, and many industrial chemicals, making them suitable for harsh service environments.

Another important advantage of ARADUR 46-1 is its balanced curing speed.
ARADUR 46-1 provides a relatively short gel time while still allowing sufficient working time for application.
This balance enables efficient installation of flooring systems, repair mortars, and protective coatings without sacrificing application quality.

They have salient features of fast cure at ambient temperature with excellent gloss and color retention; the products also exhibit high hardness and chemical resistance over polyamide
and phenalkamine hardeners.

ARADUR 46-1 is a liquid, solvent-free polyamine/cycloaliphatic amine hardener manufactured and advanced Materials, primarily used in formulating two-component epoxy systems.
