ARKOPON T 8015

OLEYL METHYL TAURIDE

Oleyl methyl tauride.
Arkopon T 8015 is used to disperse inorganic pigments in colorants and tinting systems.
Ideal dosage (on pigments) is 5-10%.
Arkopon T 8015 is approved for ecolabels and complies with the following regulations: environmental label (blue angel), EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, CN, ECL, and METI.

Arkopon T 8015 is an anionic emulsifier, wetting and dispersing agent for coating applications.
This yellow paste is composed of sodium alkyl methyl tauride.
Arkopon T 8015 is used in pigment preparations for inorganic pigments e.g. for titanium dioxide.
Arkopon T 8015 offers high pigment loads, low viscosity and high tinting strengths.

Arkopon T 8015 improves the compatibility of inorganic and organic pigments in solvent-borne coatings, e.g. long-oil alkyd paints in the presence of aqueous pigment preparations.
Arkopon T 8015 prevents the flocculation of titanium dioxide and the agglomeration of organic pigments.
Arkopon T 8015 is also used for anionic bitumen emulsions.

Chemical characterization of Arkopon T 8015:
Oleoyl methyl tauride, sodium salt

Design and principle of operation:
The medium flows through the valve in the direction indicated by the arrow.
The valve plug position determines the cross-sectional area between the seat and plug.

Depending on how the springs are arranged in the pneumatic actuator, the valve has two different fail-safe positions that become effective when the supply air fails:
Actuator stem extends (fail-close)
The valve closes when the supply air fails.
Actuator stem retracts (fail-open)
The valve opens when the supply air fails.
