DESCRIPTION
Barites (Barium Sulphate) from Sibelco (Portaryte trademark) are mineral fillers widely used in the production of various paint systems.

Possessing low oil absorption, high whiteness, chemical inertness, low abrasiveness, barites make their irreplaceable contribution to the formulations of industrial paints and varnishes.

Barites are used in the production of coatings with high anti-corrosion properties, primarily in primers, as well as in powder coatings.

Natural barites of different particle size distribution are perfect for self-leveling polymer coating systems for concrete (industrial floors) based on epoxy and polyurethane. Due to their low oil absorption, barites in such systems provide better flowability, which determines the final quality of the coating.

Natural barites are widely used in the production of polymer masterbatches, as a noise-suppressing component in the production of polymer pipes.
