Barquat 4280 Z is blend of alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides and alkyl dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chlorides. 
When BARQUAT 4280-Z is used as an active ingredient in FIFRA1 registered formulations such as hard surface disinfectants, sanitizers and/or certain types of water treatment formulations, BARQUAT 4280-Z have been found to provide superior biocidal action against a broad spectrum of microbial organisms such as: bacteria, fungi, viruses, and algae. 
This “second” generation quaternary ammonium compound delivers potent germicidal action even in heavy organic soil loads.

Applications of BARQUAT 4280-Z:
BARQUAT 4280-Z have been incorporated into substantial number of Lonza EPA registered formulations. 
These formulations include but are not limited to: disinfectants, santizers, and industrial water treatment.

The BARQUAT 4280-Z product is a blend of alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides and alkyl dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chlorides. 
BARQUAT 4280-Z can be used as an active ingredient in various formulations to control microbial growth. 
BARQUAT 4280-Z delivers potent germicidal action, even in heavy organic soil loads.

Physical State of BARQUAT 4280-Z:
BARQUAT 4280-Z is a clear, pale yellow to straw liquid with a mild odor. 
Congealing may occur during prolonged storage at low temperatures; this is reversible on warning with mixing.

Solubility of BARQUAT 4280-Z:
Freely Soluble in water, lower alcohols, ketones and glycols.

BARQUAT 4280-Z are permitted for use as indirect food contact surface sanitizers as noted in 40 CFR part 180.940(a).

BARQUAT 4280-Z are reported on a 100% active quaternary basis. 

FIRST AID:
In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. 
For eyes, call a physician. 
Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. 
If swallowed, drink promptly a large quantity of milk, egg whites, gelatin solution; or if these are not available, drink large quantities of water. 
Avoid alcohol. 

Skin contact: Remove all contaminated clothes and footwear immediately unless stuck to skin.
Drench the affected skin with running water for 10 minutes or longer if substance is still on skin. 
Consult a doctor.

Eye contact: Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. 
Consult a doctor.

Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. 
Do not induce vomiting. 
If conscious, give half a litre of water to drink immediately. 
Consult a doctor.

Inhalation: Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so. 
Consult a doctor

Storage conditions: Store in a cool, well ventilated area. 
Keep container tightly closed. 
The floor of the storage room must be impermeable to prevent the escape of liquids.
