Barquat PQ is a cationic polymer biocide that effectively inhibits the growth of algae and slime-forming bacteria in industrial circulating cooling water.


Barquat PQ also effectively inhibits the growth of various algae in swimming pools, ponds, and reservoirs, and can be used in acidic, alkaline, and highly hard water environments.
At any concentration, Barquat PQ is non-foaming, non-toxic, and non-irritating, making it safer to use.

Barquat PQ is used preservation of water-based synthetic metalworking fluids based on amines, borates, phosphates, nitrates, etc, and also for the protection of those fluids based on soluble or emulsifying oils modified with nonionic surfactants.

The initial treatment of Barquat PQ should be repeated whenever the water does not appear transparent.
