BELCLENE 283

CAS NUMBER: 113221-69-5

Belclene 283 is a cost effective alternative to polyacrylate-based calcium carbonate antiscalants, for low to moderate LSI cooling applications, food applications, and Kraft pulp digester treatment.
Belclene 283 is a low molecular weight polyelectrolyte that is a copolymer of maleic anhydride and acrylic acid.

Belclene 283 shows good dispersing performance against carbonate and anti-limescale performance for phosphate.
Belclene 283 has good thermal stability, can be used at high temperature (300 ℃).

Belclene 283 has good compatibility when used with other agents.
Belclene 283 is widely used in low pressure boiler, central heating, central air conditioning and circulating cooling systems.

Belclene 283 can also be used as chelating dispersants in weaving and dyeing.
Belclene 283 scale inhibitor was developed as a calcium carbonate inhibitor and a multifunctional formulation support agent in industrial water systems and other related applications.

Belclene 283, is an anti-scalant that has been developed as a calcium carbonate inhibitor and a multi-functional formulation support agent in industrial water systems and other related applications.

APPLICATION:

In cooling water formulations, Belclene 283 provides:

-Superior calcium carbonate scale inhibition when used alone or in combination with phosphonates.

-Both threshold inhibition and crystal modification.

-Stabilization of zinc in solution to give better corrosion control.

-Contains no phosphorus or heavy metals, making it ideal for all-organic programs.

BENEFITS:

In formulations for use in food plants, Belclene 283 also provides:

-FDA approval for use in non-contact cooling and retort waters.

-Halogen stability. In pulp mill product formulations, Belclene 283 also provides:

-Superior calcium carbonate scale inhibition in Kamyr digesters.

-FDA approval for use in pulp production where the paper that may contact food.

-Significant reductions in plant downtime for cleanings and repair.
