BELCLENE 500 provides greater flexibility and better performance in developing multiple antiscalant programs for a variety of scales found in boiler systems, foods plants, and cleaning applications.

BELCLENE 500 is not affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides in standard.

BELCLENE 500
Belclene 500 provides greater flexibility and better performance in developing multiple antiscalant programs for a variety of scales found in boiler systems, foods plants, and cleaning applications.
Belclene 500 is a multifunctional product that provides the benefits of many separate products, including:
•    Excellent calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, silicate, and iron oxide dispersancy all in a single product.
•    Better deposit control than methacrylates, acrylates, and copolymers.
•    FDA approved (21 cfr 173.310) as boiler additives for use in applications where steam may contact food.
•    Wide application range across industries, for both online and offline system protection and system cleanups.


Solubility
•    Belclene 500 is soluble/miscible in Water and Ethylene glycol in all proportions
•    The product is soluble in Caustic Soda (46%). If diluted with Methanol, a precipitation may occur.
pH range
•    Belclene 500 can be used without pH limitations. It does not form insoluble sodium or potassium salts. The product is hydrolytically stable and can be incorporated into concentrated formulations regardless of the final pH.
Temperature
•    Belclene 500 is stable at temperatures up to 200°C.
Oxidizing agent
•    Belclene 500 is not affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides in standard
Properties:
Belclene 500 associates characteristics of phosphonates as well as polyacrylates. The function is to provide a special equilibrium of limit inhibition and also dispersancy. The Belclene 500  has good tolerance to chlorine. And it is also compatible with a lot of microbiological control agents.
The Belclene 500  has excellent dispersion performance for the scale of calcium carbonate as well as calcium phosphate in circulating cool water system.
The reason is via the introduction of a phosphonic group right into a carboxylic group. In addition, Belclene 500  has also good scale inhibition for barium sulfate, strontium sulfate as well as silica scale.

Mechanism of Action:
Belclene 500 inhibits scale buildup on surfaces through at least three mechanisms.
1.    Solubility enhancement or threshold effect, which reduces precipitation of low solubility inorganic salts.
2.    Crystal modification, which deforms the growing organic salt crystals to give small, irregular, readily fractured crystals that do not adhere well to surfaces.
3.    Dispersing activity, which prevents precipitated crystals or other inorganic particles from agglomerating and depositing on surfaces. Low molecular weight polymers are widely used to inhibit scaling in industrial water treatment.
Application:
Belclene 500  has advantages in a wide range of water quality, chemical stability, strong chlorine tolerance, etc. Engineers use it as scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water system. And also found in the oilfield refill water system.
Cooling Water
Effective particulate dispersion. Calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate scale control.
Multifunctional, phosphonate and polymer performance on the same molecule. Simplifies formulations. Improved scale control in comparison with standard dispersant type polymers. Effective panticulate dispersion (silt, iron oxide). Maintains performance in halogenated and high calcium water.

A polyhydroxypolycarboxylic acid and a water soluble phosphino polycarboxylate may be added to an aqueous system, such as a cooling water system, in order to inhibit corrosion as well as the deposition of corrosion within the system. The water soluble phosphino polycarboxylate may be derived from a phosphinyl unsaturated monomer and an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer. The aqueous system may be a cooling water system such as a cooling tower, a closed cooling water system, an air-conditioning water systems, a wastewater treatment system as well as a deionized water production system.

A process to efficiently utilize the chain transfer agent, hypophosphorus acid or salts, in the preparation of low molecular weight carboxylate polymers is provided and comprises employing in-process neutralization of the carboxylic acid monomer(s).

A low molecular weight carboxylate polymer containing phosphinate and phosphonate functional groups and where not more than 20% of the phosphorus is present in inorganic non-polymeric compounds is also provided.

CP-164 has advantages in wide range of water quality, chemical stability, strong chlorine tolerance, etc. Ti can be used as scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water system and oilfield refill water system. CP-164 is the equivalent to Belsperse 164
