BELCLENE 810

Belclene 810 helps in developing formulations that are biodegradable and phosphorus-free, yet highly effective as calcium carbonate antiscalants, for their environmentally sensitive customers.

Applications of Beclene 810
Belclene 810 is highly effective in controlling the deposition of calcium carbonate in standard cooling water systems.

Benefits
Belclene 810 provides a cooling water formulation:
• Calcium carbonate scale inhibition in severe service conditions where the LSI approaches 3.0
• 45% more biodegradation than its closest antiscalant competitor
• 2.5x better calcium carbonate inhibition versus next leading biodegradable antiscalant
• Very good zinc stabilization and general dispersancy for neutral pH cooling water programs
• Halogen stability

Belclene 810 is acceptable for treatment of cooling and retort water (G5) in and around food processing areas.
Belclene 810 is acceptable for treating boilers, steam lines, and/or cooling systems (G7) where neither the treated water nor the steam produced may contact edible products in and around food processing areas.
Food processing facilities are responsible for ensuring that they do not use chemical compounds in a manner that will result in the adulteration of food products.
Therefore, Belclene 810 is not expected that the compounds would have to be decharacterized if an establishment document, as part of its HACCP plan, indicates that decharacterization is not needed.
Such examples include if data are available to show that low levels of non-volatiles (such as sulfites) will not carry over into steam with the system, or, in the case of cooling water, a functional barrier separates the water from the meat food product.

Belclene 800 is acceptable for use as a general cleaner (A1) on all surfaces in and around food processing areas, where its use is not intended for direct food contact.
Use of Belclene 800 in food processing or handling facilities requires that all food products and packaging materials be removed or protected prior to product use.

A potable water rinse of cleaned surfaces is required after use of Belclene 810.

Belclene 800 and 810 are part of a new family of biodegradable, highly effective, cooling water antiscalants offered for the environmentally- conscious solution provider.
Belclene 800 and 810 are the most environmentally friendly antiscalants for cooling and process waters in the industry.
They provide exceptional scale inhibition and contain no phosphorus, nitrogen or heavy metals.
Belclene 800 can prevent calcium carbonate scale in even the most severe LSI conditions and is also stable until a temperature of 300°C (572°F).
Belclene 810’s biodegradability, 45% more than its closest competitor, coupled with its superior calcium carbonate scale inhibition and chlorine stability, make it an ideal component of any Green cooling water treatment formulation.
