Linear Formula: [(HO)2C6H3]2CO / C13H10O5

Benzophenone-2 is a light yellow crystalline powder made from 2-hydroxybenzophenone.
Ultraviolet absorber Benzophenone-2 is a benzophenone ultraviolet absorber, the absorption wavelength range is 320-400nm, Benzophenone-2 has a symmetrical benzene ring and hydroxyl groups on both sides, and Benzophenone-2's thermophotochemical properties are stable.

Benzophenone-2 is water-insoluble, dissolved in methanol and ethanol, capable of absorbing the UV radiation of 320-400nm wavelength with the characteristics of light color, nontoxic, good compatibility.

Stability of light, heat chemical is better then Benzophenone-3(UV-9).
Benzophenone-2 is a light yellow crystalline powder made from 2-hydroxybenzophenone.
Benzophenone-2, -6 and -8 are compounds made from 2-hydroxybenzophenone.

Benzophenone is a substance that acts as a sunscreen and absorber of ultraviolet radiation to protect products from UV rays.
Its derivatives are benzophenone-2 (BP2) and oxybenzone (benzophenone-3 or BP3).
