Benzyldimethyldecylammonium chloride belongs to the benzalkonium (BAC) group of quaternary ammonium compounds.
Benzyldimethyldecylammonium chloride is widely used as an antibacterial and antifungal agent for disinfection purposes.
Benzyldimethyldecylammonium chloride is an intermediate in organic synthesis, widely used in the synthesis of dyes, pesticides, synthetic fragrances, detergents, plasticizers and medicines.
Benzyldimethyldecylammonium chloride is a cationic surfactant with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. 

Benzyldimethyldecylammonium chloride is used as a disinfectant, for the treatment of alopecia areata and other skin conditions, and as an absorption enhancer in topical pharmaceuticals.
