Description

Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol (30/70) is a specific grade of Cetearyl Alcohol consisting of approximately 30% cetyl alcohol (C16) and 70% stearyl alcohol (C18). This defined ratio provides enhanced thickening efficiency, improved emulsion stability, and a firmer consistency compared with grades containing higher levels of cetyl alcohol. It is widely used as an emollient, viscosity modifier, co-emulsifier, consistency agent, and stabilizer in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and personal care formulations.

Because stearyl alcohol possesses a higher melting point than cetyl alcohol, the 30/70 blend produces creams and lotions with greater body, improved structural integrity, and enhanced long-term stability.
