TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
It is recommended that the Chlorocresol Preservative be pre-dissolved (e.g. in alcohol, glycol or caustic soda solution) to ensure the product is evenly distributed in the finished formulation.
Chlorocresol Preservative can also be added in the form of an alkaline stock solution.
A stock solution containing 30% Chlorocresol Preservative can be formulated by stirring 1 kg Chlorocresol Preservative into 1.85 liters of water and 0.5kg 50% caustic soda solution until it dissolves.
Dissolving can be accelerated by gently heating the liquid.
The steam-volatility of Chlorocresol Preservative must be taken in account in the case of certain applications (e.g. when drying glue slurries which contain Chlorocresol Preservative)
