CSA BINDER

DEFINITION:

CSA Binder is a hydraulic binder based on calcium sulphoaluminate, rather than calcium aluminates which are the basis of Calcium Aluminates Cement or calcium silicates which are the basis of cement. 
The difference gives CSA Binder properties particularly suited to formulators of products such as self-leveling or self-smoothing compounds, rapid hardening screeds, tile adhesives, non-shrink grouts, rapid setting and special mortars.

CSA Binder is used in formulated products either as a hydraulic binder by itself or with the addition of calcium sulphates or in combination with cement. 
The setting time is quicker than that of cement, and it also has a rapid strength development. 

CSA Binder does not release free lime during hydration thus eliminates the major cause of efflorescence.
CSA Binder is manufactured under a strict quality assurance systems which accommodates the technical requirements of building chemistry formulators.

CSA Binder is normally supplied in one-ton bag which include a moister resistant barrier. 
However, in common with all hydraulic binders CSA Binder must be kept from moisture, and can retain its properties for up to six months when properly stored.

The properties of CSA Binder conform to the standards of the manufacturer and to the Chinese relevant standards.
CSA Binderr is pure CSA clinker that grinded without any gypsum. 

CSA Binder is a hydraulic cementitious material blend high in C4A3S
CSA Binder is not a cement, some of clients called it csa additive, it`s a pure csa clinker, the precursor to csa based cements. 

CSA Binder is a hydraulic, cementitious mineral blend, high in C4A3S-(Calcium Sulfo aluminate crystals) compound. 
Upon mixing with cement and gypsum components, it yields a very early and strong cementitious matrix.

This binder was designed to be blended with cement and anhydrite to make some dry-mixed mortars which need fast setting, rapid hardening, high-strength, freeze resistance, impermeability, corrosion resistance, low pH, low dry shrinkage and micro expansion properties.
CSA Binder qualities of fast setting and high early strength development are not related to CAC (high alumina cement), even though the Aluminum Oxide content is high. 

CSA Binder is a refractory cement with a completely different microscopic crystal structure.
When blended with cement, CSA functions as a catalyst in the rapid hardening process or concrete, and the more CSA that is used, the higher the early strength. 

However, higher replacement dosages will significantly reduce the set time. 
All csa are inherently fast setting. 

In order to boost the working time, chemical retarders and accelerator are often used.

CSA Binder products exhibit a range of properties to suit a wide spectrum of cement-based applications, like fast setting cements, self-leveling or self-smoothing compounds, self-compacting concrete, rapid hardening mortars, tile adhesives, non-shrink grouts, water stopping mortars, repair mortars, high early strength concrete, Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GRC), etc.

CSA Binder may be used in combination with other mineral products, for example cement, calcium sulphates and fillers, or with organics such as polymers in latex foam or in redispersible foam.
Depending on the type of mixes and technology employed, CSA Cement can be used to obtain and control various properties.

The behavior of cement is very variable. 
In general, acceleration of set increases progressively with the addition of HCSA Binder. 
The amount of CSA Binder Binder needed to obtain a specific setting time varies considerably depending on the origin of the cement and performance can be modified with the use of additives.

 

REACTIVITY:

CSA Binder may be used in combination with other mineral products, for example cement, calcium sulphates and fillers, or with organics such as polymers in latex foam or in redispersiblefoam.
Depending on the type of mixes and technology employed, CSA Binder can be used to obtain and control various properties.

The behavior of cement is vary variable.

The strength development of CSA Binder depend on the nature of the cement and/or Calcium Sulphates used. 

In general these mixes will develop mechanical strength at a very early stage.
With some type of cements and in formulated products containing additives which control the setting and hydration, the long term properties is similar to those of the original cement, however it is necessary to check the behavior of each cement used.

STORAGE:

To be stored in dry cool place and not mix with other substance.

 

PRODUCT INFORMATION:

CSA Binder is a pure CSA clinker and also known as CSA/ Binder, grinded without any additives, and is a hydraulic cementitious mineral blend high in C4A3S (Calcium Sulfoaluminate Crystals).
CSA Binder range reduces volume shrinkage in both the plastic and hardened phases of cement hydration. 

CSA expansive cement is suitable for use in non-shrink grouts, self-levelling floor screeds and prefabricated concrete.

QUALITY:

-CSA Binder is produced using the latest technology in Cement Production and using carefully selected Limestone and bauxite, after the raw mix is ground to the required finesse, the clinker is produced in the kiln, then is ground in a Cement Mill to produce.
-CSA Binder Does not contain any additive.
-CSA Binder is light grey in Color.
-CSA Binder does not contain crystalline silica.

 

Concrete Mix Design:

Concrete Mix design need using RWC CSA needs to be varied to suit individual application; it is recommended that trial mixes to be carried out prior to commencement of work to ensure that the mix design and material combinations meet the requirements of the specifications of the particular application.

 

Shelf Life:

CSA Binder is packaged in a specialty bag to protect it from humidity. 
However, as with all hydraulic Cement / binders, it is recommended that CSA Binder is not placed outdoors or in direct contact with the ground. 

When correctly stored in dry conditions, the properties of CSA Binder will remain within specification limit for at least 6 months. 
In most cases, its properties will be retained for over a year. 

 

FIRST AID MEASURES:


EYES:

-Wash out immediately with fresh running water.
-Ensure complete irrigation of the eye by keeping eyelids apart and away from eye and moving the eyelids by occasionally lifting the upper and lower lids.
-Seek medical attention without delay; if pain persists or recurs seek medical attention.
-Removal of contact lenses after an eye injury should only be undertaken by skilled personnel

 

SKIN CONTACT:

-Immediately remove all contaminated clothing, including footwear.
-Flush skin and hair with running water (and soap if available).
-Seek medical attention in event of irritation.

 

INHALATION:

-If dust is inhaled, remove from contaminated area.
-Encourage patient to blow nose to ensure clear passage of breathing.
-If irritation or discomfort persists seek medical attention.

 

ADVANTAGES:

-The color of this CSA Binder is more lighter than other cement, can be easily colored by pigment.
-Hydrated products have hydration alumina gel and ettringite crystals which can generate beautiful luster on surface of the artificial stone.
