Description
Dantogard® Plus Liquid is one of the most advanced preservative blends produced to date.
Dantogard Plus Liquid combines a well recognized germicide (DMDM Hydantoin) with an
effective fungicide (Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate). This new and improved preservative is
based on patented Lonza Inc. technology. The advanced technology provides the lowest free
formaldehyde available to the industry and results in greater safety and reduced regulatory
issues. Additionally, this new Lonza technology provides Dantogard Plus Liquid with improved
temperature stability, a distinct advantage over competitive DMDMH products. Dantogard Plus
Liquid continues the hydantoin leadership set by Lonza for the past three decades.

Suggested Use Rates
A unique, easy-to-use and cost-effective preservative, Dantogard Plus Liquid is typically
used at 0.15 - 0.60% in household, institutional, and industrial products. Dantogard Plus
Liquid is stable over a wide range of pH (3 - 10).
Solubility
Dantogard Plus Liquid is readily soluble in any aqueous phase, as well as in polar organic
solvents such as alcohols, glycols, glycol esters, alkyl sulfates, amphoterics and
alkanolamides.
Compatibility
Dantogard Plus Liquid is compatible with virtually all raw materials used in household and
industrial formulations including anionic, cationic and nonionic surfactants, thickening agents,
chelating agents, colors and fragrances. A stability study has been conducted by adding
0.3% Dantogard Plus Liquid in a broad variety of products, and by checking viscosity, pH,
color and homogeneity of the end products after 1 month at room temperature and 50°C.
Dantogard Plus Liquid proved to be compatible with all the tested products. No major
change was observed for either criteria.

Analytical methods to determine free and total formaldehyde of Dantogard Plus liquid and
formulated products are available upon request.

Packaging / Storage
Dantogard Plus Liquid is supplied in polyethylene pails or polyethylene drums. It can be
stored for 18 months in the sealed original packaging, at a temperature between 60°F. and
75°F (15°C and 24°C.) The product must be kept protected from light and freezing.
