Dioctyl adipate is a one of the primary plasticizers which is C10 Phthalate, the same as DIDP.
Dioctyl Adipate, also known as DOA,it is an Eco-friendly Plasticizer.

Dioctyl Adipate Eco-friendly Plasticizer is a typical freeze-resisting plasticizer used in PVC, chlorethlene polymer, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber, for high in plasticizing efficiency, low in color changing property after heating, capable of making products soft in low temperature and light-resisting.
When processed, Dioctyl Adipate Eco-friendly Plasticizer shows fine smoothness and the products are pleasant to touch.

Dioctyl Adipate Eco-friendly Plasticizer can be used together with DOP and DBP in cold-resisting agricultural plastic film, freezing food, packing film, cable, electric wire, imitation paper, planet, outdoor water pipe.
While Dioctyl Adipate Eco-friendly Plasticizer is used in, initial viscosity is low and stable.

However, Dioctyl Adipate Eco-friendly Plasticizer should be used with care for it has high volatility, and is poor in water-proof, migratory aptitude property and electric insulating property.
Dioctyl adipate is an organic compound with the formula (CH2CH2CO2C8H17)2.

As well as related diesters derived from 2-ethylhexanol, decanol, isodecanol, etc., Dioctyl Adipate is used as a plasticizer.
Dioctyl Adipate, also known as DOA, is a light colored, oily liquid.

Dioctyl Adipate is flexible at low temperatures, has good electrical properties, good resistance to weathering, and good stability to heat.
Dioctyl adipate, or DOA, is an oily liquid that is most frequently used as a plasticizer for PVC.

Dioctyl Adipate’s light in color and may be used in combination with other plasticizers or by itself.
Dioctyl Adipate is soluble in oil but not water.

Because of Dioctyl Adipates low cost, suitable properties and manufacturing by many companies, DOA goes by many names, including bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate and adipic acid di(2-ethylhexyl) ester.
Dioctyl Adipate is most commonly used as a plasticizer thanks to its extreme flexibility, low temperature and good electrical properties.

Dioctyl Adipate also has a strong resistance to weathering and good heat stability.
There are many uses for Dioctyl Adipate, but you’re most likely to find it being used as clear films for food packaging.

Dioctyl adipate is an effective plasticizer that provides the utmost flexibility and stability at low temperatures.
In Dioctyl Adipates solid state, the organic compound is a clear liquid that can be easily added to other plasticizers such as DOP and DOTP.

Dioctyl Adipate’s also compatible with nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, high-butyryl cellulose acetate butyrates and most synthetic rubbers.
Dioctyl adipate is a clear, almost colourless liquid with a barely noticeable odour.

Dioctyl Adipate is an ester produced by reacting adipic acid with 2-ethyl hexanol.
Dioctyl Adipate has low viscosity, is easy to process and has a long shelf life.

Dioctyl Adipate has several advantages over some other plasticizers in that it is more economical; it provides the desired changes to physical and mechanical properties without causing changes to the chemical structure of the polymer; it jellifies quickly; in lacquer applications it serves to eliminate cracks, increase resistance and provide a smooth surface.
Dioctyl Adipate is a colorless, odorless, transparent oily liquid that is mostly used as a PVC plasticizer.

Dioctyl Adipate is compatible with a wide variety of materials such as nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, most synthetic rubbers, cellulose acetate butyrate, PVC, chloroethylene polymer and cellulose nitrate.
Dioctyl Adipate can be used alone or with other plasticizers such as Dioctyl Phthalate (DOP) and Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), cold resistant agricultural plastic film, freezer food, packaging film, cable, electrical wire, and more.
Dioctyl Adipate can also be used as a Group V Synthetic base oil, especially in applications where low temperature performance is required, and can be mixed with Group III and Group IV base oils to improve its properties.

USES OF DIOCTYL ADIPATE:

The product is an excellent cold resistant plasticizer of PVC, which gives the product excellent low softness, light thermal stability and water resistance.
In the plastisol, the initial viscosity is low and the viscosity stability is good.

Dioctyl Adipate is often used with DOP and other main plasticizers for cold resistant agricultural film, wire, sheet, artificial leather, outdoor water pipe and packaging film of frozen food.
Dioctyl Adipate can also be used as a low temperature plasticizer for many synthetic rubbers and for resins such as nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose.

Dioctyl Adipate can be used as a cold resistant plasticizer for a variety of resins, especially PVC and vinyl chloride copolymers.
Dioctyl Adipate can also be used as the raw material of aviation grease.

Dioctyl Adipate can be used as stationary liquid for gas chromatography (the highest operating temperature is 135 ℃, and the solvent is ether).
Dioctyl Adipate is used alone or together with other plasticizers as a softener in all PVC paste and dough mixtures.

Dioctyl Adipate is used in the production of Stretch Film, in the production of phthalate-free goods (in the toy industry, in the production of skin cloth, in the production of some special hoses, in the production of tablecloths, etc.), in the production of artificial leather, in the production of cables, in the production of PVC mats, in the production of tarpaulin.
Dioctyl adipate is a versatile compound that has many uses. Here are some of the applications that you can find DOA in.

Dioctyl Adipate can be used on cold resistant agricultural plastic film, freezer food, packaging film, cable, electrical wire, imitation paper, planet and outer water pipe.
Dioctyl Adipate provides good low temperature flexibility, good heat stability, weatherability properties, high plasticizing efficiency and good electrical properties, making it particularly suitable for use in flexible coatings and PVC colorants.

Dioctyl Adipate can be used in food contact applications such as food packaging films and sealants as well as to disperse pigments in paint.
Dioctyl Adipate can be found in many commercial products such as shoes, slippers, synthetic leather, door mats, and more.

APPLICATIONS OF DIOCTYL ADIPATE:

Dioctyl adipate is used in the manufacture of a wide range of plastics and coating products.
Dioctyl Adipate is especially suitable for use in flexible coatings and PVC colorants and in any plasticized products which require good low temperature properties.

Dioctyl adipate can be found in many end products including PVC soles for shoes and slippers, synthetic leather, waterproof membranes, paints, varnishes, floor coverings, door mats and hoses.
Dioctyl Adipate is also used in the calendaring process of paper finishing and in the production of PVC granules.
As dioctyl adipate meets the requirements for food-contact materials (FCM), it may also be used in the manufacture of flexible PVC films used for food packaging.
