Dipeptide-2 at a Glance:
A synthetic peptide made by combining tryptophan and valine.
May be helpful for alleviating undereye puffiness.

Small size allows for sufficient penetration into skin.
Tends to be part of blends with other peptides

Dipeptide-2 is a small, less complex synthetic peptide made up of the amino acids tryptophan and valine.

Studies from one ingredient supplier indicate that this peptide as part of a blend may reduce the look of puffy eyes; however, to date independent research hasn’t supported this claim.

Generally, dipeptide-2 is considered a skin conditioning ingredient whose smaller size allows Dipeptide-2 to easily penetrate skin’s uppermost layers where Dipeptide-2 can assist with skin renewal and replenishment.
For now, that’s the most compelling reason to consider skin care products that contain Dipeptide-2.

Recommended usage levels on this peptide by itself aren’t available; however, usage levels when this peptide is part of a blend range from 0.5–5%, depending on desired results.

Dipeptide-2 is an  white peptide proven to effectively remove eye bags and dark circles. Produced within a GMP standard environment and has high purity >95%.
Dipeptide-2 improves blood circulation by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin l to angiotensin ll.
Dipeptide-2 also reduces wrinkles through promoting the synthesis of skin proteins.

A dipeptide consisting of the standard amino acids valine and tryptophan.
Mainly works as a skin conditioning agent.

Dipeptide-2 also believed to improve lymphatic circulation, and for this reason is often used in eye creams aiming to combat dark and puffy under-eye circles.
Many cosmetic manufacturers market Dipeptide-2 as clinically proven to reduce under-eye bagginess and puffiness, however, Dipeptide-2 difficult to find any published (and unbiased) "clinical" data supporting such claims.

Dipeptide-2 is a compound of the two amino acids tryptophan and valine.
The molecular structure of dipeptide-2 is similar to that of certain lipids in the epidermis.
This is why dipeptide acts as a natural moisturizing factor that binds water in the skin and thus prevents Dipeptide-2 from drying out.

The amino acid compound is particularly used in the treatment of lachrymal sacs and dark circles under the eyes.
Dipeptide-2 gives the skin back Dipeptide-2 moisture and cushions Dipeptide-2 from the inside.

Dipeptide-2 is part of the complex called Eyeliss which includes two other ingredients, Valine and Tryptophan.
These three actives are mainly formulated into eye care products and target puffy eyes by increasing the lymphatic circulation that gathers around the eyes and is usually at Dipeptide-2 worse in the mornings.
An independent clinical study has shown that signs of under-eyes bags show marked improvement for 70% of the participants after consistent use for 56 days. Due to the molecule size being very small, Dipeptide-2 is able to penetrate the skin rapidly and effectively allowing the peptide complex to kick start the cell renewal process and helping to replenish the appearance of the skin. With the skin around the eyes being considerably thinner than the rest of the face, you may find using your ring finger will be the gentlest and most effective application to avoid tugging the skin.

Applications and Properties of Dipeptide-2:
Eye cream and eye makeup
Anti-aging treatment
Facial moisturizer/lotion
Body lotion
Dipeptide-2 is clinically proven to reduce under-eye bagginess and puffiness.
Dipeptide-2 improves lymphatic circulation and is often used in eye creams to combat dark and puffy under-eye circles.

The amino acid structure of this ingredient makes Dipeptide-2 an effective skin conditioner.
Because Dipeptide-2 structure resembles the lipid content of the epidermis, Dipeptide-2 is considered to be a natural moisturizing factor (NMF).
As an NMF, Dipeptide-2 helps keep the intercellular structure of the epidermis intact, facilitates the skin’s healing process, prevents dermal irritation, and may even regenerate the skin.
Several animal studies suggest that the topical application of dipeptide-2 may act as a growth promoter because of Dipeptide-2 ability to increase the skin’s protein synthesis and amino acid uptake.
