DRAGOSANTOL

DRAGOSANTOL, or more formally α-(−)-bisabolol or also known as levomenol, is a natural monocyclic sesquiterpene alcohol.
DRAGOSANTOL is a colorless viscous oil that is the primary constituent of the essential oil from German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and Myoporum crassifolium.
High concentrations of bisabolol can also be found in certain medicinal cannabis cultivars.
DRAGOSANTOL is poorly soluble in water and glycerin, but soluble in ethanol.
The enantiomer, α-(+)-bisabolol, is also found naturally but is rare.

Synthetic bisabolol is usually a racemic mixture of the two, α-(±)-bisabolol.
DRAGOSANTOL is the terpenoid responsible for distinctive aroma of chamomile flowers, and when isolated, its scent has also has been likened to apples, sugar and honey.
DRAGOSANTOL has a weak sweet floral aroma and is used in various fragrances.
DRAGOSANTOL has also been used for hundreds of years in cosmetics because of its skin healing properties including reducing wrinkles, skin toughness and repairing sun-damaged skin, and more recently it has been compounded with tretinoin as a topical treatment for acne.

DRAGOSANTOL is known to have anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties.
DRAGOSANTOL is also demonstrated to enhance the percutaneous absorption of certain molecules and has found use as a penetration enhancer: an agent used in topical formulations, increasing the substances propensity for absorption beneath the skin.
A structurally related compound known as β-bisabolol (CAS registry number [15352-77-9]) differs only in the position of the tertiary alcohol functional group.

DRAGOSANTOL is a sesquiterpenoid.
DRAGOSANTOL is a natural product found in Teucrium asiaticum, Teucrium oxylepis, and other organisms with data available.
Clear colourless liquid; Fruity nutty aroma with hints of coconut
Practically insoluble or insoluble in water
Slightly soluble (in ethanol)

Dragosantol is a monocyclic unsaturated sesquiterpene alcohol, alpha-bisabolol.
Dragosantol contains at least 95 % of alpha-bisabolol.
The content of farnesol is less than 0.1 % / 1000 ppm.
Dragosantol is quite close to a known ingredient of chamomile.
Like chamomile it is known for its soothing effect and widely used in skin care cosmetics.
Dragosantol is an ideal ingredient for stressed and sensitive skin cosmetics.

Dragosantol is a clear, pale yellow, liquid that contains at least 97% purity of 1 alpha-bisabolol, monocyclic, is unsaturated, and has sesquiterpene alcohol.
The most important effects of bisabolol are anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant, anti-bacterial, and non-allergic properties.
Dragosantol is non-toxic sesquiterpene alcohol, present in natural essential oils, with anticancer activity.
Dragosantol occurs naturally in the Brazilian Candeia tree.
Dragosantol is widely used in personal care products and cosmetics because of its floral fragrance and many beneficial properties for the skin.

Dragosantol is also simply called Bisabolol or Levomenol.
Dragosantol contains panthenol, which is a humectant that causes the skin to retain moisture.
In this way, Dragosantol dries out less quickly and the skin remains well hydrated.
In addition, the substance penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin, which also prevents skin aging.

Dragosantol also causes other ingredients in a product to penetrate deeper into the skin.
This happens with oils, but also with vitamins, antioxidants, or minerals.
Dragosantol is, therefore, an improvement for a care product.
To benefit from the beneficial effects of Dragosantol in personal care products, it is smart to add it in a certain way.
You should never use the product undiluted on the skin.
Dragosantol is suitable for dry, red, and sensitive skin, but also usable for anti-aging care.

Dragosantol is a nontoxic sesquiterpene alcohol present in natural essential oil, with anticancer activity.
Dragosantol exerts selective anticancer effect on A549 NSCLC cells (IC50=15 μM) via induction of cell cycle arrest, mitochondrial apoptosis and inhibition of PI3K/Akt signalling pathways. Dragosantol also strongly induces apoptosis in glioma cells.

Dragosantol is the major active component of Chamomile.
Dragosantol has long been used in cosmetics for its anti-inflammatory, healing & soothing, and anti-microbial properties.
Dragosantol is a classical anti-irritant and a synthetic Bisabolol with the highest purity.
Dragosantol has an appearance of a colorless to pale yellow, clear liquid.
Dragosantol has applications in creams and lotions for sensitive skin, sun care and after sun, baby care, oral hygiene, shampoos, shower gels, conditioners, face washes, acne, and depilatory products.

Modern consumers are aware of the growing impact of daily aggressions on their skin and look for efficient and safe skin soothing solutions.
Based on a holistic approach to sustainability, Symrise developed a patented synthetic production process with low influence on the environment in order to deliver the purest nature-identical α-Bisabolol to the cosmetic market, Dragosantol.
Due to an outstanding experience of more than 35 years with this molecule, Symrise offers an advanced solution to sensitive skin, as efficient as natural Dragosantol in soothing the skin and reducing the redness within the first hours after application.

Dragosantol  is a synthetic nature identical bisabalol with the highest purity that is available on the market today.
Dragosantol protects and preserves the Brazilian rainforest and its natural resources, the candeia tree, while offering the same profile as the natural bisabalol.
Dragosantol  is a monocyclic, unsaturated sesquiterpene alcohol used as an anti-irritant in sensitive skin products.
This synthetic bisabolol is of the highest purity available on the market today.
As a synthetic alternative, it protects the Brazilian biodiversity by preserving the natural resources of Candeia tree, the source for natural bisabolol.
Dragosantol also offers the same profile, same formulation properties, same efficacy at the same dosage, and similar behavior in relation to the recovery of skin properties after irritation.

Dragosantol  was created by synthesizing (-)-α-bisabolol through minimal use of natural resources.
The end product consists of more than 95% (-)-α-bisabolol—comprising four of its isomers and less than 0.1% farnesol—and can reportedly be processed in the same way and concentration as natural bisabolol.

Applications of DRAGOSANTOL
Dragosantol is found in a variety of beauty and skin care products, including compositions for skin lightening cosmetic creams, color change cosmetic compositions for makeup fused with antioxidant function and oil-to-gel makeup removing compositions.

Dragosantol, also referred to as alpha-bisabolol, is a colorless, thick oily liquid that is the main component of the essential oil.
