ECOSURF LF-30

A water soluble nonionic low foam surfactant used in a wide variety of applications including hard surface and high performance cleaners, has exceptional wetting, and is stable in caustic.

ECOSURF LF-30 by Dow Chemical is a secondary alcohol alkoxylate.
Acts as a non-ionic, readily biodegradable, APEO free and an effective cloud point defoamer additive with benefits of excellent wetting, low foam and of being stable in caustic.

ECOSURF LF-30 exhibits outstanding formulation & handling properties.
Moreover, ECOSURF LF-30 is soluble in water, chlorinated solvents and most polar organic solvents.

Possesses chemical stability in the presence of dilute acids, bases and salts.
ECOSURF LF-30 also shows compatibility with anionic, cationic, and other non-ionic surfactants.

Applications involve architectural coatings.
ECOSURF LF-30 contains ingredients that is subject to a TSCA Section 5(a) (2) Significant New Use Rule (SNUR) and export notification under TSCA 12(b).

A water soluble non-ionic low foam surfactant with excellent detergency and wetting properties, caustic and acid stability and superior food and protein soil de-foaming ability.
A water soluble nonionic low foam surfactant used in a wide variety of applications including hard surface and high performance cleaners, has exceptional wetting, and is stable in caustic.

Low foam nonionic surfactant.
Low-foaming wetting agent, stable in alkaline solutions.

The surface tension of a 0.1% solution is 30 Dynes/cm.
Soluble in water and most polar organic solvents.
Effectively wets pigments, finds application in the paint and varnish industry.

Ecosurf LF Surfactants are non-Alkylphenol Ethoxylate (APEO)-based nonionic materials that offer excellent wetting and a low foam profile in a readily biodegradable surfactant.
They are an easy-to-handle alternative to APEO-based surfactants in applications including paints & coatings, textiles, pulp & paper, inks & adhesives, and other applications.

Before using ECOSURF LF-30, consult the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)/Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for details on product hazards, recommended handling precautions and product storage.

Storage of ECOSURF LF-30:
Store products in tightly closed original containers at temperatures recommended on the product label.

Disposal of ECOSURF LF-30:
Although the ECOSURF LF Surfactants are considered readily biodegradable (>60 percent biodegradation within 28 days per OECD 301F) ECOSURF LF-30 has been determined that form unused & contaminated product, the preferred options for disposal include sending to a licensed, permitted incinerator or other thermal destruction device.
ECOSURF LF-30 contains a substance that is subject to a TSCA Section 5(a)(2) Significant New Use Rule (SNUR) and export notification under TSCA 12(b).
Architectural coating formulation processes that operate under zero-discharge of wastewater should not trigger the SNUR conditions but each user should assess their operations to assure compliance.

The SNUR limits release to water to no greater than 14 ppb as calculated after wastewater treatment.
Dispose in accordance with all local, state (provincial) and federal regulations.

Empty containers may contain hazardous residues.
This material and ECOSURF LF-30 container must be disposed in a safe and legal manner.
ECOSURF LF-30 is the user's responsibility to verify that treatment and disposal procedures comply with local, state (provincial) and federal regulations.
