EMULSOGEN EPA 078

CAS NUMBER: 37335-03-8

EC NUMBER: 609-406-8

Emulsogen EPA 078 is used in emulsion polymerization are sulphate esters, either as alkyl sulfates or in the form of alkyl ether sulfates.
Emulsogen EPA 078s are widely used.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates and vinyl acetate.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is used in polymerization of vinyl acetate together with other vinyl esters, acrylates, vinyl chloride and ethylene, for acrylic and styrene / acrylic dispersions and for butadiene / styrene latex.

The use of Emulsogen EPA 078 reduces coagulation and improves electrolyte resistance and freeze/thaw stability.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is added either during or after polymerization.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is also used in pigment preparations, paints and coatings as dispersing and wetting agent.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as an emulsifier for emulsion polymerization of monomers like styrene, acrylic acid esters, methacrylic acid esters and vinyl acetate.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is a nonionic emulsifier for emulsion polymerization & compatibilizer for tinted waterborne coatings
Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as a nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates, styrene-butadiene, and vinyl acetate.

Emulsogen EPA 078 improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions.
The recommended usage of Emulsogen EPA 078 is 1-3% active based on monomers.

Emulsogen EPA 078 also acts as wetting agent/compatibilizer in waterborne acrylic lacquers (low PVC).
The general dosage of Emulsogen EPA 078 for this purpose is 1.4%-2.1%.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is suitable for low odor paints applying for eco-labels such as Blue Angel or Ecoflower.
Benefits of Emulsogen EPA 078:

The use of Emulsogen EPA 078 offers the following advantages:
Emulsogen EPA 078 acts as a dispersing agent for carbon black, inorganic & organic pigments and aqueous paints & coatings.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is suitable for emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, styrene and acrylate homo- and copolymers together with anionic surfactants like Emulsogen EPA 073.
Emulsogen EPA 078 improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions.

Emulsogen EPA 078 prevents skinning of textile coatings with emulsion polymers and enhances the wet & dry scrub resistance for architectural emulsion paints.
The recommended usage of Emulsogen EPA 078 is 1-3% active material based on monomers, 2-7% active material based on the alkyd resin and 5-35% active material based on pigments.

The shelf life of Emulsogen EPA 078 is 730 days.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is a nonionic emulsifier for industrial applications.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as emulsifier for emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, styrene and acrylate homo- and copolymers together with anionic surfactants like Emulsogen® EPA 073.
Emulsogen EPA 078 improves the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as a dispersing agent for inorganic and organic pigments in aqueous pigment preparations.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is used for aqueous paints and coatings as a dispersing agent and stabilizer to improve the compatibility of pigments with polymers.

Emulsogen EPA 078 prevents skinning of aqueous coatings e.g. in textile coaitngs with emulsion polymers.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is also used as an emulsifier for aqueous emulsions of alkyd resins.

Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as anionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic acid esters and vinyl acetate.
Emulsogen EPA 078 is used as anionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate dispersions, styrene-butadiene latex and E-PVC.
