EC / List no.: 203-756-1
CAS no.: 110-31-6
Mol. formula: C38H72N2O2

Ethylene bis oleamide is synthetic wax.
In plastics as lubricants, brighteners, slip agents, anti-adhesion agents and release agents, glass paper antistatic agent.
This product is suitable for ABS, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, nylon, cellulose acetate, polyvinyl acetate and phenolic resin internal lubricant and external lubricant; Especially suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene film.
Ethylene bis oleamide can be used as pigment abrasive and pigment dispersant, polyamide paraffin coupling agent.
Processing lubricants, release agents, antistats, pigment dispersing aids, oil-based antifoaming agent and additive to coatings.

In order to manufacture and formulation for plastic, the manufacturers require plastic additives such as – ethylene bis-oleamide. Ethylene bis-oleamide is a wax based chemical having a relatively high melting point. In terms of physical appearance, ethylene bis-oleamide is hard and crisp compound, having a yellow color, insoluble in the solvents, and stable to acid, alkali & water.

Ethylene bis-oleamide is utilized as an internal and external lubricant for thermoplastics such as, PS (Polystyrene), AS (Acrylonitrile Styrene), PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), PE (Polyethylene), PP (Polypropylene), PVAC (Polyvinyl Acetate), Cellulose Acetate, Nylon, phenolic-Resin and amino plastics.

Uses:
Ethylene bis oleamide is used as an internal and external lubricant for thermoplastics, as a mold release agent with TPU and as an anti-block and slip agent in printing ink vehicles.

Ethylene bis oleamide is a bio-based secondary bis-amide additive which can be incorporated directly into polymers to prevent any unwanted tack and adhesion.
Polymers with a soft or tacky pellet form such as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) and styrene butadiene copolymer (SBC) often exhibit adhesion between polymer pellets when exposed to elevated temperatures and pressures.
Ethylene bis oleamide can be incorporated directly into these polymers helping reduce contact area between pellet surfaces and prevent any unwanted tack and adhesion.

Ethylene Bis Oleamide(EBO) has the following applications/functions:

1. Ethylene Bis Oleamide(EBO) can be used as an anti-sticking agent and an opening agent for EVA and PVC, and is more suitable for an anti-sticking agent for EVA hot melt adhesives.

2. Ethylene Bis Oleamide(EBO) can be used as lubricant, anti-sticking agent and mold release agent for PE, PP, PS, AS, ABS, PA, PET, PC, etc.

3. Ethylene bis oleamide can be used as a release agent and internal lubricant for acrylic rubber.

4. Ethylene Bis Oleamide(EBO) can be used as dispersant and coupling agent for pigments and fillers. Because Ethylene Bis Oleamide(EBO) has a strong affinity with inorganic pigments or fillers, so that it adheres to the surface of the particles, so as to achieve the purpose of modifying the pigments or fillers.

5. Auxiliary nucleation transparent agent, Ethylene Bis Oleamide(EBO) is used in polyolefin, polyoxymethylene and polyamide resin, which can shorten the nucleation time, promote the thinning of the resin structure, and then improve the mechanical properties and transparency of the product.
