Evipon LS is a high-performance anionic surfactant based on sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), widely used for its excellent cleansing efficiency, strong foaming capacity, and reliable surface activity.
Evipon LS is manufactured through the sulfation of lauryl alcohol, followed by neutralization to form the sodium salt, yielding a material with a well-defined hydrophilic–lipophilic structure that enables effective interaction with both aqueous and oily phases.
This molecular architecture allows Evipon LS to significantly reduce surface and interfacial tension, promote rapid wetting of solid surfaces, and facilitate the emulsification and removal of oily soils and particulate contaminants.

Evipon LS exhibits very good solubility in water, forming clear to slightly opalescent solutions over a broad concentration range, and remains stable across a wide pH window typically encountered in detergent and personal care formulations.
Evipon LS's strong detergency is complemented by its ability to generate rich, stable foam, which is particularly valued in rinse-off cosmetic products where sensory perception and cleaning performance are closely linked.
In addition to its cleaning action, Evipon LS functions as an effective dispersing agent, helping to maintain uniform distribution of insoluble components in formulated systems.

Due to this balanced combination of solubility, surface activity, and formulation robustness, Evipon LS is extensively used in shampoos, shower gels, liquid soaps, facial cleansers, and toothpaste formulations, as well as in household and industrial cleaning products.
Evipon LS is compatible with many non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants, and when blended with milder co-surfactants, its irritation potential can be reduced while maintaining high performance.

Uses of Evipon LS:
Evipon LS is widely used as a primary anionic surfactant in both personal care and cleaning formulations due to its strong detergency, high foaming ability, and good water solubility.
In personal care applications, Evipon LS is commonly incorporated into shampoos, shower gels, liquid hand soaps, facial cleansers, and toothpastes, where it provides effective removal of sebum, dirt, and styling residues while generating rich, stable foam.

In household cleaning products, Evipon LS is used in dishwashing liquids, all-purpose cleaners, bathroom and kitchen cleaners, and surface-cleaning formulations to enhance wetting, emulsification of greasy soils, and overall cleaning efficiency.
Additionally, Evipon LS is applied in industrial and institutional cleaners, textile scouring and washing processes, and as a wetting and dispersing agent in various technical formulations, often in combination with non-ionic or amphoteric surfactants to optimize performance and formulation stability.

Production of Evipon LS:

Evipon LS is produced through a two-step process:
Sulfation of lauryl alcohol followed by neutralization to form the sodium salt.

Sulfation of Lauryl Alcohol:
The production process begins with lauryl alcohol (C12 fatty alcohol), which is reacted with sulfur trioxide (SO₃) or chlorosulfonic acid (HSO₃Cl) to form lauryl sulfate, an intermediate product.
This reaction introduces a sulfonic group (-SO₃H) to the lauryl alcohol, creating an ester linkage and making the compound anionic.

Neutralization:
The resulting lauryl sulfate is then neutralized with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or sodium carbonate (Na₂CO₃) to convert it into sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), the final product.
This neutralization step forms a sodium salt, which is the active ingredient in Evipon LS.

Purification and Concentration:
Evipon LS is typically purified to remove excess sodium hydroxide and other by-products.
Evipon LS is then concentrated to the desired level for different uses.
Evipon LS can be produced in liquid form, which is commonly used in formulations, or in paste or solid form depending on the application requirements.

Quality Control:
Throughout the production process, quality control measures are in place to ensure that the final product meets the required standards for solubility, pH, foaming characteristics, and detergency performance.
This production process ensures a cost-effective, stable, and high-performance surfactant suitable for a wide range of applications in personal care, cleaning, and industrial products.
