Description    
Exxsol D120 is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained by treating a petroleum fraction with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. 
Exxsol D120 contains hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C9 through C16 and boiling in the range of approximately 150.degree to 290.degree and is also a by-product of the petroleum refining process. 
Exxsol D120 has low odor and reduced toxicity equivalent to classical kerosene or xylene and itrandeal for dilution of oils and other organic fluids for determination of metal traces1. 
Exxsol D120 also has many other applications as chemical intermediate, lubricant (as a solvent to modify viscosity in lubricant oils), and coating, cleaning agent, metal working fluid, and release reagent, friction reducer in hydraulic fracturing.
Exxsol D120 is a clear and transparent dearomatized liquid replacing traditional solvents such as mineral or white spirits. 
Exxsol D120 maintains good solvency and low to extremely low aromatic content (typically less than 1 %wt) to minimize risks from exposure. 
Exxsol D120 has low odor, low levels of toxicity, broad evaporation range and narrow boiling range. 
Exxsol D120 has applications in silicone sealant formulations.
Exxsol D120 is a dearomatized hydrocarbon solvent, which acts as a replacement for the traditional one, is characterized by an extremely low content of aromatic hydrocarbons and an almost complete absence of odor. 
The intended use of the solvent is a component for the production of LFM, printing, adhesives, silicone mastics, in extraction processes, metal processing (forming fluids), for water treatment, for the synthesis of polyacrylamide.

Uses    
Exxsol D120 is ideal for dilution of oils and other organic fluids for determination of metal traces. 
Exxsol D120 is used in paints & coatings, consumer products, printing inks and agricultural chemical applications. 
Exxsol D120 is also used in food contact applications such as aluminum rolling.
Exxsol D120 is used in the following products: lubricants and greases, polishes and waxes, adhesives and sealants, anti-freeze products and coating products.
Other release to the environment of Exxsol D120 is likely to occur from: indoor use (e.g. machine wash liquids/detergents, automotive care products, paints and coating or adhesives, fragrances and air fresheners), outdoor use, outdoor use in close systems with minimal release (e.g. hydraulic liquids in automotive suspension, lubricants in motor oil and break fluids) and indoor use in close systems with minimal release (e.g. cooling liquids in refrigerators, oil-based electric heaters).

Exxsol D120 is used in the following products: coating products, lubricants and greases, biocides (e.g. disinfectants, pest control products), fillers, putties, plasters, modelling clay, metal surface treatment products, inks and toners, plant protection products and polishes and waxes.
Exxsol D120 is used in the following areas: agriculture, forestry and fishing and building & construction work.
Exxsol D120 is used for the manufacture of: machinery and vehicles, plastic products, mineral products (e.g. plasters, cement) and furniture.
Other release to the environment of Exxsol D120 is likely to occur from: outdoor use, indoor use (e.g. machine wash liquids/detergents, automotive care products, paints and coating or adhesives, fragrances and air fresheners), outdoor use in close systems with minimal release (e.g. hydraulic liquids in automotive suspension, lubricants in motor oil and break fluids) and indoor use in close systems with minimal release (e.g. cooling liquids in refrigerators, oil-based electric heaters).
