Fire Fighting Measures of Genapol LA 030:
Suitable Extinguishing media: Use an extinguishing agent suitable for the surrounding fire.

Hazardous combustion products: Oxides of carbon and various hydrocarbons

Fire Fighting Procedures: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear.
Apply alcohol-type or all purpose-type foams by manufacturers recommended techniques for large fires.
Use carbon dioxide or dry chemical media for small fires.

Do not direct a solid stream of water or foam into hot burning pools; this may cause frothing and increase fire intensity.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions.
Product floats on water creating a potential floating fire hazard.

Accidental Release And Disposal Measures of Genapol LA 030:
Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering.
Do not touch or walk through spilled material.
Avoid breathing vapor or mist.

Provide adequate ventilation.
Wear appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate.

Put on appropriate personal protective equipment:
Stop leak if without risk.

Prevent entry into sewers, water courses, basements or confined areas.
Wash spillages into an effluent treatment plant or proceed as follows.
Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible, absorbent material e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite or diatomaceous earth and place in container for disposal according to local regulations.

Exposure Controls And Personal Protection of Genapol LA 030:

Engineering Controls:
Provide adequate ventilation or other engineering controls to keep the airborne concentrations of dust or aerosols below the applicable workplace exposure limits indicated below.
The level of protection and types of controls will vary depending upon potential exposure conditions.

Exposure Limits: Alcohol Ethoxylate - Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face
protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133.

Skin: If prolonged or repeated skin contact is likely, wear appropriate protective gloves.

Clothing: Selection of protective clothing depends on work conditions, potential exposure conditions and may include gloves, boots, suits and other protective items.

Respirators: Where adequate ventilation is not available an approved respirator must be worn.
Respirator selection, use and maintenance should be in accordance with the requirements of OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1920.134.
In confined areas, use a self-contained breathing apparatus.
