Genapol PF 40 is used as nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates and vinyl acetate.

Genapol PF 40 is a wetting and dispersing agent for pigment pastes and preparations.
Genapol PF 40 is nonionic, low foaming emulsifier for emulsion polymerization of silicone, acrylates, styrene-acrylates and vinyl acetate.
Genapol PF 40 is a block copolymer of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, containing 40% w/w ethylene oxide.
Genapol PF 40 improves the latex stability, freeze-thaw stability, electrolyte and shear stability of polymer dispersions.
Genapol PF 40 can be used in combination with other nonionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.
Depending on the particle size of the pigments Genapol PF 40 is added at dosages of 0.5-3% to the dispersion.
Genapol PF 40 is low VOC, APEO- & hazard label-free, readily biodegradable and FDA approved grade.
The recommended shelf life is 2 years.

Genapol PF 40 is a liquid block polymer containing 40% w/w ethylene oxide low-foaming, nonionic surfactant for the chemical industry.
Genapol PF 40 features good wetting and dispersing action coupled with low foaming tendency.

Genapol PF 40 has good wetting and dispersing action coupled with low foaming tendency.
Genapol PF 40 is used as a low-foaming surfactant with very good dispersing action in detergents and cleaning agents.
Typical applications include rinsing aids, detergents for dishwashers and bottle-rinsing machines and industrial cleaning formulations.
Genapol PF 40 is also used as a low-foaming emulsifier in emulsion polymerisation and as a dispersing agent for pigment pastes and preparations.
Other applications include reactions in the chemical industry.

Benefits
The use of Genapol PF40 offers the following advantages:

Product properties:

-low VOC
-free of alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO)
-readily biodegradable
-hazard label free
-easy to handle
-FDA approved

Performance in emulsion polymerization:

-maintains low viscosity of polymer emulsion at different shear rates
-enhanced electrolyte stability
-improved shelf life (high freeze thaw stability)
-similar polymerization results to APEOs

Application
Genapol PF 40 is a nonionic emulsifier recommended for:

-Styrene/acrylate dispersions
-Acrylate dispersions
-Vinyl acetate dispersions

Recommended Uses of Genapol PF 40:
Genapol PF 40 has good wetting and dispersing action coupled with low foaming tendency.
Genapol PF 40 is used in several applications and industries:

DETERGENTS:
As a low-foaming surfactant with very good dispersing action Genapol PF 40 is used in detergents and cleaning agents.
Typical applications of Genapol PF 40 include rinsing aids, detergents for dishwashers and bottle-rinsing machines and industrial cleaning formulations.

EMULSION POLYMERIZATION:
Genapol PF 40 is also used as a low-foaming emulsifier in emulsion polymerization to improve the latex stability.
Genapol PF 40 improves the freeze-thaw stability, electrolyte and shear stability of polymer dispersions.
Dosages are between 1 – 3% on monomers.

PIGMENT PREPARATIONS AND DISPERSIONS:
Genapol PF 40 is used as wetting and dispersing agent for pigment pastes and preparations.
In combination with polyacrylates Genapol PF 40 improves the wetting of hydrophobic pigments like talc, prevents the sedimentation and thixotropy of pigment dispersions.
Depending on the particle size of the pigments Genapol PF 40 is added at dosages of 0,5 – 3% to the dispersion

SILICONE EMULSIONS:
Genapol PF 40 is used as emulsifier for silicon emulsions used e.g. as silicone based foam control agents.

Compatibility of Genapol PF 40:
Genapol PF 40 can be used in combination with other  non-ionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.
Genapol PF 40 is resistant to water hardness salts and to acids and  alkalis in the concentrations normally used.
Preliminary tests are required.
