USE
Hostaphat OPS is used for the following applications:
PIGMENT PREPARATIONS
Hostaphat OPS is used as a dispersing agent for preparations of metal pigments such as aluminium or bronze.
POLYOLEFINS
Hostaphat OPS is used to disperse titanium dioxide in polyolefins.
PAINTS AND COATINGS
Hostaphat OPS is used as a dispersing agent for inorganic pigments and titanium dioxide in mineral oils, organic solvents.
Hostaphat OPS improves the compatibility of aqueous pigment preparations with solvent-borne coatings such as alkyd resins.
General recommendation of usage: 0,5 – 2% on the coating.

Hostaphat OPS 100 is used as a solubilizier or hydrotrope for liquid cleaning agents to improve the compatibility of electrolytes, polymers and anionic or nonionic surfactants.
For the neutralisation and adjustment of the pH value, it is recommended to use NaOH or suitable amines.

It is especially suitable to protect aluminium against staining and corrosion in alkaline environments with pH values up to 11.
Furthermore Hostaphat OPS 100 shows good extreme pressure/anti wear properties and contributes to the improvement of the lubrication.

Storage
Hostaphat OPS 100 can be stored for at least to 2 years in original sealed containers at room temperature under the recommended conditions.
Hostaphat OPS 100 undergoes no change in its product properties when exposed to cold during transport and storage, but darkens if melted on.
