HYTEMP ACM RUBBER ELASTOMERS


HyTemp ACM Rubber Elastomers are high-performance polyacrylate (acrylic) elastomers designed for long-term exposure to elevated temperatures and aggressive fluids such as oils and synthetic lubricants.
HyTemp ACM Rubber Elastomers offer continuous service temperature capability up to ~175-200 °C and maintain sealing force retention and compressive set performance in demanding automotive and industrial applications. 
HyTemp ACM Rubber Elastomers are especially suited for engine seals, transmission seals, turbocharger hoses, and other components exposed to hot oils, fuels, and high-temperature environments.

HyTemp ACM Rubber Elastomers are emulsion-polymerised acrylic ester copolymers tailored for heat and oil resistance.

PROPERTIES


Typical Service Temperature Range: –40 °C to 175-200 °C (depending on grade) 
Oil Resistance (e.g., IRM 901, 70 h/150 °C): Volume change approx. –5% to +5% for certain grades. 
Mooney Viscosity (ML (1+4)@100 °C): Grade-dependent (e.g., 25–40 MU typical for some grades) 
Relative Density: ~1.3 g/cm³ typical for cured compounds.
Good compression-set resistance, low ageing under heat and oil.

FIRST AID


Inhalation:
Move to fresh air immediately if dust or vapour inhaled.
Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

Skin Contact:
Wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water.
Seek medical attention if irritation or rash develops.

Eye Contact:
Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Seek medical attention if irritation or visual changes persist.

Ingestion:
Rinse mouth with water.
Do not induce vomiting unless directed by medical personnel.
Seek medical attention if discomfort occurs.

Note to Physicians:
Treat symptomatically.
Monitor for possible respiratory or dermal sensitization – though bulk elastomer is generally low-hazard.

HANDLING AND STORAGE


Handling:
Wear appropriate protective equipment including gloves and eye protection when handling raw elastomer materials.
Avoid inhalation of dust during processing, compounding or milling.

Ventilation:
Ensure good ventilation or local exhaust in compounding areas to control dust and fumes.

Avoidance:
Avoid exposure to strong oxidizers and uncontrolled heat or flame.
Prevent dust generation and accumulation.

Spill and Leak Procedures:
Sweep up bulk material carefully avoiding dust clouds.
Dispose of waste according to local regulations.
Clean area with suitable detergent.

Storage:
Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition.
Keep material in sealed packaging to prevent moisture uptake and contamination.
Rotate stock to maintain freshness and avoid prolonged storage of processed crumbs.

Handling Cautions:
Use dry handling and storage conditions.
Ensure proper mixing and compounding protocols for consistent vulcanisation.
Follow manufacturer’s recommended cure schedule to achieve full performance.
