IONOL 175N PLUS

IONOL 175N Plus is a liquid emulsion with a high performance with BHT (16%) and BHA (5%), as the synergic antioxidant system, combined with a 2% of CA, all together solved with sunflower vegetable oil.

IONOL 175N Plus is specially designed for substrates with a high content of fat and omega-3/6 fatty acids in contact with metal trace elements.
IONOL 175N Plus has a12 months shelf life and IONOL 175N Plus is easy to handle.

CAS Number: 128-37-0
Molecular weight: 220.4 g/mol
Molecular Formula: C15H24O

When the content of metals and/or catalyst agents of oxidation processes, such as iron, is high in the final compound feed or raw material, IONOL 175N Plus is necessary to use a metal chelator agent.
The main challenge is to find solution that combine antioxidant and chelating power in a stable solution based on vegetable oil, because MOST chelating agents are not soluble in a vegetable oil.

IONOL 175N Plus is feed and food approved.

The recommended dose has been established in less than 1.0 kg – 1.5 kg of IONOL 175N Plus per 1 Tn of fish meal, animal fat or final compound feed.
IONOL 175N Plus has a really high performance and excellent treat cost for standard fish meal substrates with uncontrolled metal content, for animal fat and greases, protein meals, finished pet food products and swine-cattle-cow-poultry compound feeds.

Also IONOL antioxidants have shown to increase the useful life of many industrial oils, reducing equipment downtime.
Applications include hydraulic fluids, transformer oils, spinning oils and metal rolling and cutting fluids.

IONOL antioxidants are excellent stabilizers for all grades of kerosene based Jet A1 fuel for civil and military use.
The concentration needed to protect and stabilize aviation fuels is also defined by these international specifications.
For example, DERD 2494 specifies an addition level in the range of 17.0 – 24.0 mg/L for hydrotreated fuels.

Uses of IONOL 175N PLUS:

Lubricants:
The continual development and improvement of the internal combustion engine has made increasing demands on Iubricants.
Increasing Crankcase oil temperatures and increasing longevity of vehicles in general require ever higher performance and stability from lubricating oils to prevent oxidation.

Oxidation contributes to piston ring sticking, formation of sludge within the oil, and an overall breakdown of the viscosity characteristics of the lubricant.
As free radical scavengers, one IONOL molecule can inhibit and help prevent the oxidation of many oil molecules, extending the useful life of lubricants and transmission fluids.

Polymer, Elastomers & Rubbers:
Oxidation is an important limiting factor in all thermoplastics and thermosetting resins.
IONOL 175N PLUS effects include adverse colour change, loss of flexibility, loss of tensile strength and elongation, reduced impact resistance, cracking and other surface deterioration.
Oxidation can also affect the molecular weight of a polymer, which in turn affects IONOL 175N PLUS other properties.

The oxidation of latex and rubber compounds can have different effects, depending on the type of polymer involved.
Problems include adverse colour changes, loss of flexibility, loss of tensile strength and reduced impact resistance, ageing, cracking and other surface deterioration.

IONOL products are widely used in polyols for flexible polyurethane foams, where IONOL 175N PLUS protects the polyol during production and long-term storage, as well as preventing scorching during the formation of the polyurethane foam.
Furthermore, IONOL products are also used in the production of colourless stabilized polyolefins as well as PVC and PVB films.

IONOL antioxidants are widely used in most natural and synthetic lattices and rubbers.

Biodiesel:
The IONOL BF range – 100% active, no harm approved stabilizers with superior performance.

In every phase of IONOL 175N PLUS lifecycle, from manufacturing to storage to combustion in the engine, biodiesel is subjected to oxidative influences.
The process starts with degradation reactions that cause undesired polymers, aggressive acids and peroxides.
Due to IONOL 175N PLUS natural composition, biodiesel ages a lot faster than fossil diesel and IONOL 175N PLUS use-by date is very often exceeded by the time the biofuel finally makes IONOL 175N PLUS to the end-user.

The international biodiesel norms, (e.g. EN 14214 or ASTM D 6751) demand the adherence to the specified oxidation stability.
The global specifications for fossil diesel (e.g. EN 590 or ASTM D 975) clearly prescribe that only in-spec biodiesel may be blended with fossil diesel.

Leather, Coatings and Inks:
During the process of tanning, fat is dissolved from the animal skin.
Further on in the process, the “wet-blue” has to pick up fat again.

These fats, made from different native fats, are called fat liquors.
IONOL Technical Grade, IONOL CPC or IONOL 135 are used to stabilize the feed stock of the fat liquors.

The addition of either IONOL Technical Grade, IONOL CPC or IONOL 135 helps maintain overnight stability, reduce run-resistance and improve gloss and hard drying properties in most general-purpose printing inks.
IONOL Technical Grade or IONOL CPC in lithographic inks also prevents skin formation and even promotes drying.

Usage Area of IONOL 175N PLUS:

Feed:
Oxidation has many undesirable effects on imported, processed and packaged foodstuffs.
They include adverse colour changes, spoilage/waste, adverse physical changes, rancidity and deterioration of nutritional content.
In addition, the oxidation reactions deteriorates proteins, carbohydrates, fats, mineral supplements and vitamins in animal feeds.

Food:
Adding our IONOL antioxidants helps keep food fresh, appetizing and nourishing, them are used in a wide range of foodstuffs, including biscuits, cereals, fats, oils, chewing gum and meat products.
IONOL products meets health and safety requirements, such as the analytical requirements of the Food Chemical Codex (FCC) and has international approvals for addition to food intended for human consumption.
