JEFFSOL PROPYLENE CARBONATE

CAS Number: 108-32-7

European Community (EC) Number: 203-572-1

JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is a clear, mobile, hygroscopic liquid at room temperature.

JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate acts as a solvent for many organic and inorganic materials in applications such as surface cleaners, degreasers, dyes, fibers, plastics, batteries, aromatic hydrocarbons and natural gas.

JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is a powerful, VOC-exempt solvent used in cleaners and paint strippers.
JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate can also be used in paints and coatings as a substitute for the recently banned PCBTF, otherwise known as Oxsol 100. JEFFSOL® is a relatively "slow" solvent and it has a higher flash point than other VOC exempt solvents like acetone making it a less flammable solvent choice.

JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is a clear, low odor and VOC-exempt solvent that can be used in a variety of industrial and cleaning applications.

JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is an excellent solvent for many organic and inorganic materials in such applications as surface cleaners, degreasers, dyes, fibers, plastics, batteries, aromatic hydrocarbons, and natural gas.
JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is a gellant for clays and a binder for foundry sand molds.

Jeffsol Propylene Carbonate is a clear solvent that is classified as an exempt compound for the purposes of calculating VOCs.
Jeffsol Propylene Carbonate can be considered as a reactive diluent when used to reduce the viscosity of isocyanates or polyurethane prepolymers in 2 component polyurea systems; Propylene Carbonate will react with amines with active hydrogens to form urethane linkages.
JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is supplied as a low viscosity, clear liquid.

Jeffsol Propylene Carbonate by Huntsman is a clear, mobile, hygroscopic propylene carbonate solvent.
JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is used as a diluent for epoxy resins.
JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate reacts with amines and can accelerate cure with more reactive amines.
Jeffsol Propylene Carbonate offers flexibilities at higher concentration and enhances mechanical properties in at lower concentrations (<10-15 phr).

JEFFSOL Propylene Carbonate is a clear, mobile liquid at room temperature.

JEFFSOL propylene carbonate is a high grade, high purity product with flexibility in function and application to allow broad growth across many areas.
