Locron P is an antiperspirant agent for the cosmetic industry. 
Locron P is most suitable for anhydrous types of perspiration-reducing preparations, such as powder-sprays, suspension-sprays or sticks. 
Locron P can also be incorporated in skin lotions, skin creams, and shaving lotions to achieve a slight astringent effect.

Locron P is a complex inorganic salt that consists of complex basic aluminium chloride. ACH is a soluble aluminum complex. 
Locron P is believed that ACH acts as an antiperspirant by precipitating inside the eccrine sweat glands to produce insoluble aluminium hydroxide, which then plugs the gland. 
There are many soluble Locron P that can be used as antiperspirants, but they differ only in the relative amounts of aluminium, chloride, and zirconium. 
Only ACH may be used in aerosol formulations. 
Locron P is also desirable because Locron P has a pH of about 4.5, which is less acidic than other aluminum salts and, therefore, does not irritate the skin or damage clothing as much as plain aluminum chloride. 
The empirical formula for ACH is Al2(OH)5Cl·2H2O. 
However, when dissolved, the basic unit of ACH is more closely given by Al13O4(OH)24(H2O) with seven disassociated Cl ions.
Locron P acts as a long-term perspiration regulating agent. Offers low iron qualities for reduced yellowing. 
Locron P is used in antiperspirant, deodorant, creams, lotions and aftershave formulations.

Locron P is an inorganic polymer compound, which is a product between aluminum chloride and aluminum hydroxide. 
Locron P is bridged by hydroxyl groups, and the number of hydroxyl groups in the molecule is different. 
Colorless or yellow resinous solid. 
Locron P's solution is a colorless or yellow-brown transparent liquid, sometimes containing impurities and gray-black mucus.

Production Method    
Locron P is the slag and floating skin produced during the smelting and refining process of smelting alloy or waste aluminum, and its main components are aluminum oxide and metal aluminum. 
First, the washing water is added to the reactor, then Locron P is added according to a certain ratio, hydrochloric acid is slowly added under stirring for polycondensation reaction, and the curing polymerization is made to pH4.2 ~ 4.5. 
When the relative density of the solution is about 1.2, the liquid polymeric aluminum chloride is prepared. 
Liquid products are diluted and filtered, evaporated and concentrated, and dried to produce solid polyaluminum chloride products.
