Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract is an extract of the leaves of eriobotrya japonica shrub.

Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract contains phenolic compounds, carotenoids, flavonoids, oleanolic and ursolic acid as active constituents.
Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract scavenges free radicals and has high phenolic content, which results in anti-oxidant activity.

The triterpene acids inhibit inflammatory cytokine production and interrupts MAPK signaling pathway.
Loquat Leaf Extract-NS finds application in formulating cosmetic products.

Loquat leaf comes from the Loquat tree and helps to produce the Loquat fruit known as Eriobotrya japonica.
Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract comes from the rose family and is sometimes called the Japanese plum leaf.

The Loquat tree is a moderately sized tree and can grow up to thirty feet.
The Loquat leaves are evergreen and are five to twelve inches long and three to four inches wide.

These beautiful leaves are glossed and dark-green.
Loquat leaves extract can remove heat from the lung to relieve cough, lowering the adverse flow of qi, preventing vomiting.
It can be used for cough due to the lung- heat, abnormal rising of the qi, rapid respiration, stomach heat, dysphoria with thirst.

USE & BENEFITS OF LOQUAT (ERIOBOTRYA JAPONICA) LEAF EXTRACT
The leaf extract has lots of constituents that are antioxidant in nature, for example, phenolic acids, flavonoids to name a few.
As an antioxidant, it not only protects the product from degrading or losing cosmetic value but also helps skin protect from oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress is a harmful reaction of oxygen with any element of skin structure in the presence of any triggering situation such as sunlight / high temperature/humidity/ constant contact with any reactive metal.
The triterpenes or vitamins also act as an anti-inflammatory.
They calm the inflammatory response to any external stimuli.

This is particularly useful in case of dry skin, acne-prone skin, where calming inflammation is a whole different issue to deal with sometimes.
The group of valuable ingredients also produce an antimicrobial effect.

Again, this helps the extract hold its potency throughout the shelf life.
The extract also hinders the activity of enzymes collagenase and hyaluronidase, these enzymes otherwise carry out the breakdown of skin protein collagen and hyaluronic acid, a moisture reservoir of skin.

Thus, Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract improves the appearance, softness, and suppleness of the skin.
Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract is used in skincare products, body care products, and hair care products.
Also, Loquat (Eriobotrya Japonica) Leaf Extract can be used in anti-aging preparations and sun-pre /post preparations.
