Special recommendations
High pH applications
For high pH applications, e.g. silicate and silicone paints or stucco, we recommend the use of our inorganic pigment preparations.
Wood glazes
For the coloration of wood glazes, we recommend combining transparent Luconyl® NG iron oxides with organic Luconyl White 0022 grades.
Heat management
For optimum heat management, we recommend using Luconyl White 0022, either alone or with suitable colored pigment preparations.
Luconyl White 0022 can replace conventional black, e.g. carbon black or iron oxide black, and can significantly improve surface temperature and total solar reflectance.
APPLICATIONS of Luconyl White 0022
Luconyl White 0022 is a pure associated acrylic thickener, dispersed in water.
Luconyl White 0022 thickens in a medium with a pH preferably adjusted between 8 and 9, and passes from its natural acid delivery form to its neutralized and water soluble form.
Luconyl White 0022 addition level is between 0.1% and 1% of dry product on total formulation, which in most cases is below 0.5%.
Luconyl White 0022 is an associated thickener.
Luconyl White 0022 develops its thickening efficiency through hydrophobic interactions which will influence viscosity at very low shear rate and thus will prevent settling and sagging.
The relatively low speed viscosity recovering of Luconyl White 0022 after coating provides a real thixotropic effect and improves the compromise between levelling and sagging: a better levelling will be reached without sagging.
In order to obtain this effect, one should use the minimum quantity of Luconyl White 0022 to hinder sagging and give a good coating.
STORAGE of Luconyl White 0022
Luconyl White 0022 can be irreversibly altered by frost.
Luconyl White 0022 should be protected from the effects of weathering and stored between 5 and 40°C and protected from direct sun exposure.

Once opened, packaging should be resealed immediately after use.
In these conditions, products should be used within 6 months after delivery.
Film-forming product.
Surface may dry in contact with air.
A slight sedimentation can be visible at the bottom of drums or totes.
This phenomenon is normal and has no impact on the use and level of performance as long as the solids content of the product meets the specification.
If necessary, filter the product prior to its use.

Before shelf life expiration, our products are tested and case by case, shelf life extensions are possible.
