Ataman offers supplies of micronized pentaerythritol for the paint and varnish industry and the production of coatings. Micronized pentaerythritol is a micronized product - with a
 particle size of no more than 40 microns - in contrast to technical pentaerythritol (GOST 9286-89). Micronized pentaerythritol is a multifunctional chemical substance, soluble in 
water, glycerin. Poorly soluble in common organic solvents. Easily oxidized, combustible, forms esters when interacting with acids.

Description:

Micronized pentaerythritol - the highest grade.

Micronized monopentaerythritol is a finely dispersed powder, which in the composition of a fire retardant paint, when heated to a temperature of 250C and above, forms a dense carbon layer with a very low thermal conductivity, which provides a significant reduction in the thermal effect on the protected material or structure. In the composition of intumescent fire retardant paints, pentaerythritol, as a fire retardant, acts as a carbon donor and can be used both in water dispersion fire retardant paints and in paints based on organic solvents. Intumescent flame retardant paint formulations use micronized pentaerythritol in combination with micronized melamine and ammonium polyphosphate to provide better flame retardant coating.
