N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL = DGH = DODECYLGUANIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE


N-2001 antimicrobial is solution in isopropanol.
N-2001 Antimicrobial is the MIT-free preservative for effective fabric softeners at low concentration and wide pH range
N-2001 Antimicrobial is a cationic biocide especially indicated as a PT6 preservative for the formulation of fabric softeners.
N-2001 Antimicrobial approved as a PT6 preservative.
N-2001 Antimicrobial is Non-sensitizing (No EU H 208 labelling required; no H 317 limitation).


N-2001 Antimicrobial is Non-oxidizing.

Its use as a N-2001 Antimicrobial preservative is especially recommended for fabric softeners due to its cationic character, presenting itself as an alternative solution to the use of MIT.


N-2001 Antimicrobial, Fabric softeners are used during the rinse cycle in the washing machine and provide several beneficial properties such as:
* Soft feel, pleasant smell.
* Anti-static properties, easier to iron, etc.
* Softeners are typically mildly acidic and cationic.
Given all these properties, the application of N-2001 Antimicrobial in softeners for their preservation is very suitable.
The efficacy of N-2001 Antimicrobial at low doses has been tested on softeners (5%, pH=3.5), concluding that with only 500ppm of N-2001 Antimicrobial the softener can be considered well protected.

FIRST AID MEASURES of N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL:
*Eye contact: 
Check for and remove any contact lenses. 
In case of contact, flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes. 
*Skin contact:  
In case of contact, flush skin with plenty of water for at least 30 minutes. 
Immediately remove contaminated clothing and shoes. 
Wash clothing andshoes before reuse.
*Ingestion:
Wash out mouth with water. 


ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES of N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL:
-Spill and Leak Procedures.: 
Prevent entry into sewers, water courses, basements or confined areas. 
Cover spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth) and collect for proper disposal.


FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES of N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL:
-Extinguishing media:
*Suitable: Use an extinguishing agent suitable for the surrounding fire.
*Not suitable: None known.
*Special exposure hazards:
Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool. 


EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION of N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL:
-Engineering measures : 
Use only with adequate ventilation.
-Hygiene measures : 
*Hands:
Use Chemical-resistant gloves. 
*Eyes:
Chemical splash goggles or face shield.
*Skin:
Permeation resistant clothing and foot protection.


HANDLING and STORAGE of N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL:
*Handling: 
Put on appropriate personal protection equipment. 
Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is handled, stored and processed. 
Workers should wash hands and face before eating, drinking and smoking. 
Do not reuse container.
*Storage:
Store in accordance with local regulations. 
Store in original container protected fromdirect sunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials and food and drink. 
Do not store in unlabeled containers. 

STABILITY and REACTIVITY of N-2001 ANTIMICROBIAL:
-Chemical stability:  The product is stable
-Hazardous decomposition products: 
Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous decomposition products shouldnot be produced.
-Possibility of hazardous reactions: 
Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous reactions will not occur.
