Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent is a type of anionic surfactant processed by α-olefin gas-phase sulfonation and continuous neutralization.

Among the phosphorous detergent, LAS: AOS has the most significant synergy at 8:2. 


In the non-phosphorous washing powder with LAS and Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent as anionic active ingredients, the decontamination of Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent increased significantly when the proportion of anionic active components was greater than 20 %. 


The decontamination synergy of Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent in phosphorus-free washing powder is more prominent than that in phosphorous powder.

The activity of residual enzymes in detergent solutions containing domestic proteinases and imported proteinases(such as Savnase) was compared. 


Over time, the residual enzyme activity of anionic active groups divided into pure LAS was low. 
The residual enzyme activity is higher in detergent solution with Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent partial replacement or all substitution of LAS.
There is little difference between Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent and LAS decontamination at higher temperatures and prolonged washing(eg, 60 °C or more, 1 hour washing). 


However, when washing at room temperature(10-40 °C, washing 10-29 minutes), Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent has higher decontamination power than LAS. 
Compared with LAS, Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent has a strong hard water resistance, so it also shows AOS advantages in areas with higher hard water.
LAS is superior to oil/granular decontamination, while non-ions such as fatty alcohol ether are most suitable for washing dirt and dirt on the skin. 


The combination of the two can achieve good decontamination effects, and Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent has good decontamination effects on sebum and oily and powdery dirt.

The commercially available Olefin Sulfonate Foaming Agent is mostly solutions with about 40% active ingredient content.
