DESCRIPTION:
OMACIDE IPBC 40% DPG Fungicide is a broad spectrum liquid fungicide based on the widely used fungicide active, 3-iodopropynybutylcarbamate (IPBC).
OMACIDE IPBC 40 is a 20% blend of IPBC (active ingredient) in dipropylene glycol.
OMACIDE IPBC 40 is recommended for use in the formulation of soluble oil and semi-synthetic concentrates.
However, this product can also be used as a post treatment additive (i.e. tank side addition) for metalworking fluid systems which have been identified as being contaminated with fungi.

OMACIDE IPBC 40 Prevents dry film fungal growth
Irreversible yellowing of the dry film may occur soon after application.
Use level: 0.3-0.5% of active material by weight of total formulation.

OMACIDETM™ IPBC 20 TX Fungicide is a highly effective broad spectrum fungicide suitable for the preservation of a variety of solvent-based industrial products, including architectural coatings, wood stains and construction materials, against spoilage from fungi & yeasts.
The active agent is 3-iodo 2-propynyl-N-butylcarbamate (IPBC) in a solvent package of an ester alcohol and glycol ether.

Antimicrobial Properties:
The levels of active agent needed to prevent the growth of problem micro-organisms are listed in Table 1; Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MICs) do not represent effective in-use concentrations which should be discussed with your local Lonza representative.
OMACIDE™ IPBC 20 TX Fungicide has a non-specific mode of action which means that resistance is very unlikely to occur.

Compatibility
IPBC hydrolyses in strong alkali media & decomposes at 180°C.
The active has been associated with irreversible yellowing of dry film in some formulations, particularly those containing styrenated polymers.
