Palmera A9818 is a saturated fatty acid that can deposit on the surface in special conditions.

Palmera A9818 is insoluble in water and soluble in ethanol.
The copper substrate should be cleaned, pickled, and soaked in 10% volume HNO3 for oxide elimination.

Palmera A9818 is a saturated fatty acid with an 18-carbon chain.
Palmera A9818 is a waxy solid and its chemical formula is C17H35CO2H.

The salts and esters of Palmera A9818 are called stearates.
As its ester, Palmera A9818 is one of the most common saturated fatty acids found in nature following palmitic acid.
The triglyceride derived from three molecules of Palmera A9818 is called stearin.

OCCURENCE:

Palmera A9818 is more abundant in animal fat (up to 30%) than in vegetable fat (typically <5%).
The important exceptions are the foods cocoa butter (34%) and shea butter, where the Palmera A9818 content (as a triglyceride) is 28–45%.
In terms of its biosynthesis, Palmera A9818 is produced from carbohydrates via the fatty acid synthesis machinery wherein acetyl-CoA contributes two-carbon building blocks.

Palmera A9818 is obtained from fats and oils by the saponification of the triglycerides using hot water (about 100 °C).
The resulting mixture is then distilled.
Commercial Palmera A9818 is often a mixture of stearic and palmitic acids, although purified Palmera A9818 is available.
Commercially, fats high in oleic acid such as palm and soy may be hydrogenated to convert oleic into Palmera A9818.

USES:

In general, the applications of Palmera A9818 exploit its bifunctional character, with a polar head group that can be attached to metal cations and a nonpolar chain that confers solubility in organic solvents.
The combination leads to uses as a surfactant and softening agent.
Palmera A9818 undergoes the typical reactions of saturated carboxylic acids, a notable one being reduction to stearyl alcohol, and esterification with a range of alcohols.
This is used in a large range of manufactures, from simple to complex electronic devices.

-As food additive:

Palmera A9818 (E number E570) is found in some foods.

-Soaps, cosmetics, detergents:

Palmera A9818 is mainly used in the production of detergents, soaps, and cosmetics such as shampoos and shaving cream products.
Soaps are not made directly from Palmera A9818, but indirectly by saponification of triglycerides consisting of Palmera A9818 esters.

Esters of Palmera A9818 with ethylene glycol (glycol stearate and glycol distearate) are used to produce a pearly effect in shampoos, soaps, and other cosmetic products.
They are added to the product in molten form and allowed to crystallize under controlled conditions.
Detergents are obtained from amides and quaternary alkylammonium derivatives of Palmera A9818.

-Lubricants, softening and release agents:

In view of the soft texture of the sodium salt, which is the main component of soap, other salts are also useful for their lubricating properties.
Palmera A9818 is an important component of grease.
The stearate salts of zinc, calcium, cadmium, and lead are used as heat stabilisers PVC.

Palmera A9818 is used along with castor oil for preparing softeners in textile sizing.
They are heated and mixed with caustic potash or caustic soda.
Related salts are also commonly used as release agents, e.g. in the production of automobile tires.

As an example, Palmera A9818 can be used to make castings from a plaster piece mold or waste mold, and to make a mold from a shellacked clay original.
In this use, powdered Palmera A9818 is mixed in water and the suspension is brushed onto the surface to be parted after casting.
This reacts with the calcium in the plaster to form a thin layer of calcium stearate, which functions as a release agent.

When reacted with zinc it forms zinc stearate, which is used as a lubricant for playing cards (fanning powder) to ensure a smooth motion when fanning.
Palmera A9818 is a common lubricant during injection molding and pressing of ceramic powders.
Palmera A9818 is also used as a mold release for foam latex that is baked in stone molds.

-Niche uses:

Being inexpensive, nontoxic, and fairly inert, Palmera A9818 finds many niche applications.
Palmera A9818 is used as a negative plate additive in the manufacture of lead-acid batteries.
Palmera A9818 is added at the rate of 0.6 g per kg of the oxide while preparing the paste.

Palmera A9818 is believed to enhance the hydrophobicity of the negative plate, particularly during dry-charging process.
Palmera A9818 also reduces the extension of oxidation of the freshly formed lead (negative active material) when the plates are kept for drying in the open atmosphere after the process of tank formation.
As a consequence, the charging time of a dry uncharged battery during initial filling and charging (IFC) is comparatively lower, as compared to a battery assembled with plates which do not contain Palmera A9818 additive.

Fatty acids are classic components of candle-making.
Palmera A9818 is used along with simple sugar or corn syrup as a hardener in candies.

In fireworks, Palmera A9818 is often used to coat metal powders such as aluminium and iron.
This prevents oxidation, allowing compositions to be stored for a longer period of time.

USAGE:

Palmera A9818 is for several large long chain fatty acids made up of fats and oils.
Animal fats are offered in glyceride form, such as oil and some vegetable oils.
These oils produce Palmera A9818 after hydrolysis.

Palmera A9818 is a fatty acid that is commonly found in nature and has the general chemical properties of carboxylic acids.
Almost all types of oils and fats contain a certain amount of Palmera A9818, which is relatively high in animal fat.
For example, when the vegetable oil content is 0.8% in tea oil and 6% in palm oil, the content in butter can be up to 24%.

However, the content in cocoa can be up to 34%.
There are two important approaches for the industrial production of Palmera A9818, namely fractionation and compression.
Add decomposition agent to hydrogenated oil, and then hydrolyze to give crude fatty acid, then do water washing, distillation, bleaching to get finished products with glycerol as by-product.

Most domestic producers are used in the production of animal fat.
Some production technology will cause no fatty acid distillation, which produces excitatory odor at the time of plastic processing and high temperature.
This fragrance is non-toxic, but will have a certain impact on working conditions and the natural environment.

Palmera A9818 takes the most imported form of Palmera A9818 as vegetable oil raw material, the production processes are more advanced.
The produced Palmera A9818 has stable performance, good lubricating property and less odor in application.

USAGE AREAS:

-Palmera A9818 is used as an emulsifier in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.

-Palmera A9818 is used as an auxiliary in textiles.

-Palmera A9818 is used as accelerator and softener activator in rubber.

-Palmera A9818 is used in candle making, pastel paint making.

-Palmera A9818 is used to harden soap.
