PEG-180 is involved in the fabrication of bioactive and immunoisolating barriers for encapsulation of cells. 
PEG-180 is ideally suitable for biological applications since it does not trigger an immune response. Crystallization grade PEG is utilized for formulating screens and optimization.

Used as PVC lubricant, masterbatch additive, textile softener, pigment dispersant, etc
