Additionally, high viscosity Pergut S 10 is applied to high-strength adhesives production, or added into other rubber products to improve its quality.
However, the low-viscosity Pergut S 10 is applied to high-grade ink making.

DESCRIPTION

Pergut S 10 is a polyisoprene-based chlorinated rubber.
Moreover, Pergut S 10 contains low content of carbon tetrachloride.

Pergut S 10 shows good adhesion, easy processability, fast drying, excellent repaintability and high paint storage stability in closed containers.
Further, Pergut S 10 provides chemical-, acid-, base-, saline solution-, water-, bacterial-, mold-, fungus-, corrosion-, fouling- and environmental resistance.

Pergut S 10 is soluble in many solvents and offers good compatibility with numerous resins, polymers, plasticizers, pigments and fillers.
Furthermore, Pergut S 10 is typically prepared by treating a solution of masticated natural rubber in chloroform or carbon tetrachloride with chlorine at 80-100°C until sampling indicates the product has a chlorine content of about 65%.

During this time, hydrogen chloride is evolved.
After the passage of chlorine has been stopped, the solution is refluxed until the evolution of hydrogen chloride ceases.
This results in Pergut S 10 of good stability.

Pergut S 10 is then isolated by precipitation with methanol.
Pergut S 10 is not classified as self heating.
Decomposition of Pergut S 10 begins at 255 °C.
