PHENOLIC ANTIOXIDANTS

Aging is characteristic of polymers - a combination of changes leading to a deterioration in quality, i.e. operational properties and, as a result, a reduction in the service life of a polymer product. Among the physicochemical processes occurring in polymer systems during aging, thermooxidative destruction plays a key role.
Causes forcing aging: exposure to high temperature, oxygen, ozone in the air.

Stabilizers (antioxidants) Adeka ADK STAB, Rianox and Thanox are chemical products that can prevent rapid degradation. The introduction of stabilizers into polymers has become a necessary step in their production, as well as products made from them (including compounds) for long-term preservation of the initial properties.

Stabilizers, depending on the chemical structure, can be in the form of powders, granules, flakes or liquids. By their protective effect, stabilizers can be divided into several categories: antioxidants, light stabilizers, antiozonants. In addition, in addition to various mechanisms of action, stabilizers are divided according to their reactivity into primary and secondary ones.
