⯈ DESCRIPTION OF PHOSPHINO CARBOXYLIC ACID :
Phosphino carboxylic acid, abbreviated PCA, is an organic chemical compound.
Phosphino carboxylic acid is formed by binding phosphonic groups to the carboxylic group.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is soluble/miscible in Water and Ethylene glycol in all proportions.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) can be used without pH limitations.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) does not form insoluble sodium or potassium salts.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is hydrolytically stable and can be incorporated into concentrated formulations regardless of the final pH.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is stable at temperatures up to 200°C.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is not affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides in standard.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) associates characteristics of phosphonates as well as polyacrylates.
The function is to provide a special equilibrium of limit inhibition and also dispersancy.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) has good tolerance to chlorine.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is also compatible with a lot of microbiological control agents.
The PCA has excellent dispersion performance for the scale of calcium carbonate as well as calcium phosphate in circulating cool water system.
The reason is via the introduction of a phosphonic group right into a carboxylic group.
In addition, PCA has also good scale inhibition for barium sulfate, strontium sulfate as well as silica scale.
One more thing to note, phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) can not be affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides in standard.

⯈ USES/BENEFITS OF PHOSPHINO CARBOXYLIC ACID:
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is a multifunctional product that provides the benefits of many separate products.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) has excellent calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, silicate, and iron oxide dispersancy all in a single product.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) has better deposit control than methacrylates, acrylates, and copolymers.
FDA approved (21 cfr 173.310) phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) as boiler additives for use in applications where steam may contact food.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) has wide application range across industries, for both online and offline system protection and system cleanups.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) delivers good thermal & chlorine stability.
As a result phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) shows good activity over a wide range of pH, hardness & temperature without precipitation.
Superior boiler water sludge dispersant that outperforms polyacrylates, polymethacrylates & sulfonated polymers.
Dispersed sludge is removed in boiler water blowdown.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) has superior hydrolytic and thermal stability compared to other polymers.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) maintains deposit dissolution & dispersancy properties in both low & high pressure boilers.
Phosphino functionally stabilises & prevents loss of Ca, Mg & Fe ions.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) maintains iron in non-settling form reducing deposition potential.
Phosphinocarboxylic acid is non-foaming and has good enviromental acceptability.

⯈ APPLICATIONS OF PHOSPHINO CARBOXYLIC ACID:
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) provides greater flexibility and better performance in developing multiple antiscalant programs for a variety of scales found in boiler systems, foods plants, and cleaning applications.
Phosphino carboxylic acid has advantages in a wide range of water quality, chemical stability, strong chlorine tolerance, etc.
Engineers use phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA)as scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water system.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is  also found in the oilfield refill water system.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) is an excellent diffuser for calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate deposits in circulating cooling systems.
Phosphino carboxylic acid has good anti-fouling properties on barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, and silica deposits.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) can be used as anti-fouling and anti-corrosion in water circulation cooling systems and oil extraction systems by water.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) can be used as an inhibitor of sediments such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate.
Calcium carbonate is one of the most important materials used in the ceramic industry.
Therefore, the use of PCA as a dispersant in the ceramic industry can disperse CaCO3.
Therefore, CaCO3 deposition can be controlled and properties can be improved.
Phosphinocarboxylic acid acts in the pulp and paper industry like phosphonates and acrylates.
Phosphinocarboxylic acid is stable in alkaline conditions and can control CaCo3 and CaSO4 deposits.
Some impurities such as CaCO3 and CaSO4 in the boiler system can cause fouling and eventually damage the boilers.
Therefore, Phosphinocarboxylic acid is used as a dispersing agent, preventing fouling and improving the life of boilers.
Due to its special properties, neutrality, and reasonable price, barium sulfate is widely used in the oil and gas drilling industry.
Phosphinocarboxylic acid is one of the vital minerals in the oil drilling industry.
By adding this product, phosphinocarboxylic acid can act as a sediment inhibitor in a deposition for BaSO4 and SrSO4.
Phosphinocarboxylic acid effectively disperses particulate matter such as silt and clay.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) has advantages in wide range of water quality, chemical stability, strong chlorine tolerance, etc.
Phosphino carboxylic acid (PCA) can be used as scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cool water system and oilfield refill water system.

Phosphino Carboxylic Acid in Cold Water Systems:
In a cold water system, polycarboxylic acid retains its heat transfer properties and acts as a corrosion inhibitor.
By inhibiting ZnSO4 or copolymer with this product, the inhibitory effect of PCA can be improved.
In a cold water system, the possibility of calcium carbonate formation at high pH increases.
Therefore, in alkaline conditions, by adding this product, the problem of calcium carbonate formation can be solved.

⯈ Mechanism of Action:
Phosphino carboxylic acid inhibits scale buildup on surfaces through at least three mechanisms.
1.Solubility enhancement or threshold effect, which reduces precipitation of low solubility inorganic salts.
2.Crystal modification, which deforms the growing organic salt crystals to give small, irregular, readily fractured crystals that do not adhere well to surfaces.
3.Dispersing activity, which prevents precipitated crystals or other inorganic particles from agglomerating and depositing on surfaces.
Low molecular weight polymers are widely used to inhibit scaling in industrial water treatment.

⯈ SAFETY MEASURES:
•First aid measures:
Skin Contact: Immediately flush skin with water.
Inhalation: move the person to the fresh air.
Eye Contact: Rinse eyes with water for at least 15-20 minutes.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get medical aid immediately. Call a poison control center.

•Firefighting Measures:
Suitable Extinguishing Media:Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire.
