CAS NUMBER: 25322-68-3

EC NUMBER: 500-038-2

DESCRIPTION:

Polyethylene glycol 1500 is a non-ionic hydrophilic polymer and is available in different molecular weights.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 helps in the purification and crystal growth of proteins and nucleic acids.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 and dextran together result in aqueous polymer two phase system, which is required for the purification of biological materials.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 also interacts with cell membrane, thereby allowing cell fusion.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 has been used to mediate cell fusion.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is a product belonging to the polyoxyethylene-glycol group.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is a white to pale yellow wax.
The solidification point of Polyethylene glycol 1500 is about 45 ° C.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 dissolves well in water and in low aliphatic alcohols.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is characterized by a wide spectrum of application properties.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 can be used as a solubilizer, lubricant and dispersant in cosmetics, acting as a base for creams, toothpastes, foundation, face masks, colouring creams.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is also used in hair sprays, gels, conditioners and hair colouring preparations as well as preparations after sunbathing.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 is compatible with other moisturizers widely used in cosmetics (cetyl alcohol, glycerine).
Thanks to its very good dispersing properties and good solubility in water, Polyethylene glycol 1500 is recommended for combining many active ingredients of the formulation.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 can act as a plasticizer and binding agent for bar soaps, preventing them from cracking.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used in perfumes.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 performs the function of an aroma fixative, reduces the rate of evaporation of the more volatile components of the perfume composition, causing only a gradual change in fragrance.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 acts as a humectant and water-binding substance in the formulation, for example in hair styling preparations.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 can also be used as a carrier of active substances and a binding agent in dishwashers, washing tablets and bath salts.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is also used as a release agent in the rubber processing industry (tire production), plastics, elastomers.

In the production of tires, Polyethylene glycol 1500 acts as an activator of zinc white in the vulcanization process.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 exhibits the features of a drying presenter in flexographic ink formulations.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 protects the material against excessive water absorption in water transport (floating).
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is also used as a lubricant in the food industry.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 has a positive opinion from international organizations such as the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), which allows the use of polyethylene glycol in the form of a non-direct food additive based on CFR 21: 175.105; 175,210; 176,180; 176,200. It should be remembered that the product must be used in accordance with the definitions provided by the organization, not exceeding the maximum permitted dose.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is applied in manifacturing of soap, detergents, in pharmacology, medicine, and cosmetics, in textile industry, rubber industry and other industries.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is a safe solvent and carrier for use in cosmetics.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 can act as a solvent in many substances.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used as a solvent and a distributor.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used as a viscosity adjustment.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used in the rubber industry.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used as a plasticizer, dehumudifier and an impregnation agent.

Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used as a lubricant and a mould release agent.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used as an intermediate substance in chemical synthesis.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used in electrolyte coating operations.
Polyethylene glycol 1500 is used in solid detergent concentrates, candles, paints and water colors.

Polyethylene Glycol 1500 is a mixture containing equal amounts of lower and higher polymers of ethylene oxide and water, represented by the formula [HOCH2(CH2OCH2)nCH2OH], in which the value of n is 5 or 6 for the lower polymer and from 28 to 36 for the higher.
Polyethylene Glycol 1500 is a white, smooth petrolatum-like solid, is odorless or has a faint, characteristic odor.
Polyethylene Glycol 1500 is very soluble in water, in pyridine or in diphenyl ether, freely soluble in methanol, sparingly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in dehydrated ethanol and practically insoluble in ether.
