DESCRIPTION:

Polyethylene glycol 600 is a polyether compound with many applications in various industries such as resins, agriculture, detergents, cosmetics and personal care, wood working, heat transfer fluids, lubricants, release agents, papers, plastics, adhesives, and textiles.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is used as a humectant in inks and adhesives.
Polyethylene glycol 600 acts as a solvent in soldering flux and as a dye carrier in inks.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is also useful as a modifier and binder in latex paint.

Polyethylene glycol 600 is used as an additive in synthetic lubricants, cutting oil and hydraulic fluids.
Polyethylene glycol 600 plays an important role for the precipitation of proteins.
Polyethylene glycol 600 acts as a lubricant, coating the surfaces in aqueous and non-aqueous environments.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a clear, colorless liquid that is made from sugar cane waste so it is naturally derived and renewable.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is completely soluble in water and has an average molecular weight.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is another group of products with an incredibly long list of uses and applications from industrial uses to food and pharma, and everything in between.

Polyethylene glycol 600 is used as an inactive ingredient in the pharmaceutical industry as a solvent, plasticizer, surfactant, in ointments and suppository base, and as a tablet and capsule lubricant.
Polyethylene glycol 600 has low toxicity with systemic absorption less than 0.5%.
Polyethylene glycol 600 occurs when PEGs are attached to various protein medications, allowing for greater solubility for certain drugs.
Examples of Polyethylene glycol 600 medications include PEG-interferon alpha (Pegintron) and PEG-filgrastim (Neulasta).

Polyethylene glycol 600 is also available as a bowel prep for colonoscopy procedures and as a laxative.
Polyethylene glycol 600 indicates the average molecular weight of the specific PEG at 400.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a laxative available over-the-counter.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is considered an "active" ingredient that acts locally, even though systemic absorption is less than 0.5%.

Polyethylene glycol 600 is a polyether compound with many applications from industrial manufacturing to medicine.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a colorless and tasteless liquid at room temperature.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is readily soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, glycols and chloroform and insoluble in ether, paraffin, oils and fats.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a polyether compound with many applications from industrial manufacturing to medicine. PEG is also known as polyethylene oxide.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a biodegradable polyethylene glycol with an average molecular weight of 600 g/mole.

Polyethylene glycol 600 is essentially an 85% active clear liquid dilution in water.
Polyethylene glycol 600 provides a unique property profile, combining high water solubility and lubricity.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is non-toxic, odorless, neutral, lubricating, nonvolatile and nonirritating and are used in a variety of pharmaceuticals and in medications as a solvent, dispersing agent, ointment and suppository bases, vehicle, and tablet excipient.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is condensation polymers of ethylene oxide and water with the general formula H(OCH2CH2)nOH.
They are the most commercially important type of polyether.

The low molecular weight compounds up to 700 are colorless, odorless viscous liquids with a freezing point from -10˚C (diethylene gycol), while polymerized compounds with higher molecular weight than 1,000 are wax like solids with melting point up to 67˚C.
While Polyethylene glycol 600 with different molecular weights find use in different applications and have different physical properties (e.g. viscosity) due to chain length effects, their chemical properties are nearly identical.
The numbers that are often included in the names of PEGs indicate their average molecular weights, e.g. a PEG with n=9 would have an average molecular weight of approximately 400 and would be labeled PEG 400.
Most Polyethylene glycol 600 includes molecules with a distribution of molecular weights, i.e. they are polydisperse.

Polyethylene glycol 600 is soluble in water and most organic solvents.
Polyethylene Glycol 600 by Dow Chemical is a polyethylene glycol liquid.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a water soluble linear polymer, formed by the addition reaction of ethylene oxide to an ethylene glycol equivalent.
Polyethylene glycol 600 acts as a lubricant, a binder and a modifier. It offers attractive solubility properties, is hygroscopic, enables viscosity profile design, can undergo reactions typical of alcohols and shows wide vapor pressure and melting or freezing range.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is suitable for humectants, inks and paper coatings.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is a colourless and tasteless liquid at room temperature.
Polyethylene glycol 600 is readily soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, glycols and chloroform and insoluble in ether, paraffin, oils and fats.
